On Wednesday, GAC Family announced that When Calls The Heart alum Daniel Lissing and Merritt Patterson will be starring in a 2022 Christmas movie.

Daniel Lissing & Merritt Patterson Starring In GAC Family Christmas Movie
GAC Family has announced on Wednesday that they are going to start filming their first 2022 Christmas movie. According to Variety, this movie is called Catering Christmas. Both Merritt Patterson (Chateau Christmas, Heatwave) and Daniel Lissing (When Hope Calls, The Cleaning Lady) will start production on April 3.
Both actors had starred in the premiere year of the Great American Christmas celebration. Patterson starred along with Trevor Donovan in the Royal romance, Jingle Bell Christmas. Daniel Lissing did double duty.
He starred in A Christmas Star with Sara Canning. Moreover, he made a memorable cameo with another When Calls The Heart alum, Lori Loughlin, in When Hope Calls Christmas.
Moreover, Catering Christmas will air during GAC Family’s annual Great American Christmas celebration.
What Is Catering Christmas About?
What Is GAC Family’s Catering Christmas about? This story centers around Molly Frost (Merritt Patterson). She is struggling to make a go of her new catering business. However, her luck has changed when she unexpectedly lands New Hampshire’s biggest event of the year.
The event is the Harrison Foundation Christmas Gala. Moreover, this huge event will be managed this holiday by the nephew and reluctant heir to the family’s foundation, Carson Jacob Harrison (Daniel Lissing).
Turns out, Carson is a renowned photographer who has spent years jet-setting around the world. Subsequently, he managed to avoid taking over the foundation from his Aunt Jean.
Coincidentally, Molly, a hometown girl was once was the beneficiary of the foundation’s generosity. Therefore, she takes Carson on a journey to learn about all the good his family provides to so many. Best of all, this discovery inspires Carson to use his artistic gifts to create the most heartwarming fundraiser in the history of the foundation.
Cara J. Russell (The Knight Before Christmas, The Great Christmas Switch) wrote the script. TW Peacocke (The Winter Palace, Schitt’s Creek) will be directing this holiday movie. The premiere date will be released later in the year.
