Although the Hallmark series does not go into production until the beginning of July, the actor that portrays Bill Avery has teased some big storylines. In a recent interview, the General Hospital alum revealed that Hope Valley is going to be affected by a “disaster.” What recent event does he compare this storyline to?

Jack Wagner recently spoke to TV Insider about his return to the soap world. However, he didn’t fail to mention When Calls The Heart, the Hallmark series that is going to start filming Season 13 next month.
His character Bill Avery is there to protect and defend the people of Hope Valley. In the past, it has been train robbers with buried treasure, and another year, water being directed out of the bucolic town a la Chinatown.
Does he know what the major event will be this year? Yes. Moreover, this is labeled as a “significant crisis.” Furthermore, it will affect “every citizen” of Hope Valley. Here is what he has to say.
There’s going to be an event that happens, and I’ll just tease you a little bit, that’s going to be life-changing for everyone, and it’s reminiscent of what’s happened in L.A. recently.
So that’s going to be the disaster and obstacle that we face this year as a community in Hope Valley, and it starts rather quickly.
I don’t think we’ve had one of those for a while where the entire community was threatened, but that looks like the story we’re going to tell and the obstacle we’re going to face this year.
Will Hope Valley Be On Fire?
The recent big story in Los Angeles has been the horrific historic fires that burned down the Pacific Palisades. Is Jack Wagner hinting that this will be the storyline in When Calls The Heart Season 13? It certainly seems so.
However, this could certainly be another natural disaster that could be flooding or drought. Whatever the case, there will be folks in Hope Valley who survive this disaster, while others suffer loss. There may be survivor’s guilt for those who lost nothing.
