Why Are ‘Wednesday’ Fans Mad After Season 2 Trailer?
Why are Wednesday fans mad after the Season 2 trailer? A first look at the second season was posted with some behind-the-scenes shots and there’s much to look forward to, but fans are not happy.
The Favorite Addams Child, Wednesday
(Spoilers Ahead) Netflix’s hit series Wednesday follows Wednesday of the Addams Family, played by famous actress, Jenna Ortega (Scream VI and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice). She is forced to go to the school her parents met at after she is expelled from her current school.
Additionally, the girl who doesn’t blink lets piranhas loose in the pool which attacks the guy who bullied her brother. Thus, her expulsion.
Already planning her escape from the moment she gets there, Wednesday learns about herself and the supernaturals with her roommate and soon-to-be best friend, Enid. Wednesday ends up making a ton of friends and saves the school from evil forces.
Season 1 ends with Wednesday leaving school for break and getting a text from a mysterious number. Xavier, her friend with a crush on her, gave her the phone to stay connected.
The series took the world by storm and quickly climbed the ranks. With 252 million views, the series is the most-watched Netflix series of all time. The hit series beat out Stranger ThingsĀ andĀ Dahmer: Monster: The Jeffery Dahmer Story.
With Season 1 first airing in 2022, fans have been impatiently waiting for two years for the next season to drop. Finally, fans have gotten a first look and trailer of sorts that shows what to expect.
What To Expect For Season 2?
Fans can expect the same supernatural thrill, magic, and mystery that drew them into the first season. The trailer/first look shows that Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers), Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), and Gomez (Luis Guzman) will be returning along with star, Jenna Ortega.
Tim Burton will also be returning to direct for four episodes. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait to see the fan-favorite series until 2025. This means it will be three years between the first and second seasons.
Fans are not very happy about this wait as they have taken to social media to voice their complaints. On X, one fan said, “WHY DO WE HAVE TO WAIT SO LONG” with a crying emoji.
Another fan on X said, “It’s too long” with the tears streaming down the face emoji. Many fans questioned the amount of years and the fact that it would be 2025.
Additionally, an upset fan wrote, “I have been waiting to hear something about Wednesday Season 2 but this is too long to wait I thought it was going to be at least March 2025. I loved the first season it was like me taking her out on a date and just getting to know the deep part side of her. This is how I felt.”
According to the trailer, it will be “bigger and more twisted than [fans] can ever imagine.” Furthermore, Wednesday says if she “showed [us] anymore, our eyes would bleed and [she] is not that generous.”
