Jenna Ortega’s Closet ‘Lost All Its Colors’ Filming ‘Wednesday’
Wednesday star Jenna Ortega claims that her closet lost all its colors while filming the Netflix show. The show debuted on November 2022 and quickly became a big hit with a worldwide following. Fans even started adapting the titular character’s goth dressing style and danced to her tunes on social media. Jenna Ortega Wore Black For Her Jimmy Fallon Interview
Jenna Ortega has been seen wearing black in almost every event she attended after Wednesday’s premiere. From her sheer corset dress for The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon to the belted asymmetrical gown for the 2023 SAG Awards. However, Jenna Ortega’s love for black didn’t start after Wednesday’s debut. It started way before during the filming of the Netflix show.

In a conversation with The Cut, Jenna Ortega revealed that she wore just black when filming for Wednesday. She said, “When I was working on Wednesday, I suddenly only ever wore black. I didn’t know why. For some reason, my closet just lost all its color.”
Jenna Ortega Sticks To Darker, Earthy Tones After Wednesday
The 20-year-old further described if her characters’ style was ever incorporated into her personal wardrobe. She elaborated, “It depends on the character. I have played characters where, no matter how good or at ease I felt in the clothes, it’s just not something I would typically wear or I think is a good representation of myself.”

Jenna Ortega further elaborated, “Maybe it’s because, after Wednesday, I just don’t wear a lot of colors. Now I feel like I do tend to stick to darker and more earthy tones, so I like them because I feel they look really good on everyone but also kind of push me to try something new.”
Jenna Ortega Learned Archery For Her Character
However, changing her wardrobe isn’t the only thing she did for her role as Wednesday Addams on the Netflix show. To be perfect in her character, she learned canoeing and archery. The Jane The Virgin alum also attended cello lessons twice a week and choreographed the viral dance number fans loved on the show. Jenna revealed that she altered her posture in order to stand more upright and didn’t move her arms or hands unless it was absolutely necessary. This helped her seem more stiff and intense like her character in the show.

Additionally, at the request of the executive producer/director Tim Burton, she avoided blinking on camera throughout the filming of the season.
Now, the hit show is returning for a second season. Netflix renewed the show on January 6 and hasn’t announced a premiere date for Season 2 yet.
