Fans Think Danielle Busby Is A Diva Using Illness To Be A ‘Jerk’
While many OutDaughtered fans have tuned in from the beginning, some notice how different Danielle Busby seems in recent episodes. But why the change? Some fans believe Danielle uses her illness as a “license to be a jerk.”
Danielle Busby Changes Through The Seasons
Over the past several seasons of OutDaughtered, seemingly Danielle Busby has become more and more irritated with Adam Busby. As the Busby Quints have gotten older, more stressors are being added on top of her already overflowing cup. She diligently tries to stay afloat but is exhausted from years of pulling up her bootstraps and taking on an abundance of challenges. But over that time her health has also declined. Now the feat of waking up each morning has become a chore with the dread of the energy she needs to tackle each new day.
Over time it has increasingly gotten more difficult for her to be tolerant of her family and she is in a constant state of overwhelm. Many fans notice her character has shifted and she often snaps at those she loves the most. Undeniably, some people believe she is a diva and she uses her illness as a “free pass” to treat Adam badly.
Fans Think Danielle Busby Is A Diva
On Reddit, one user talks about how Danielle Busby has changed throughout the seasons of OutDaughtered. First, they ask, “What’s the deal with Danielle?” Then, the user elaborates, “Hi, I’ve been watching the show for a while, mostly binging and I’ve noticed some major changes to Danielle’s attitude. I’m on season 9 and it just seems like she treats Adam like a kid, talking down to him. She was always kind of rude to him, but no more than any other married couple I suppose, but lately she seems like she’s having a major diva moment. Anyone else?” Other fans answer the original poster:
- “I think they money went to her and Adam’s heads.”
- “She is the worst! I think she’s letting the tv fame get to her. Definitely my least favorite person.”
- “She’s in constant pain, and, like most moms, she wants to be a great mom. 24/7 365The poor woman is exhausted!! Give her a break!!!!!!!!!”
Autoimmune Disease Isn’t Easy To Understand
When Danielle Busby’s changes were mentioned, several people were quick to remind others how difficult it is to live with an “invisible” illness. Many fans discuss the burden of autoimmune diseases.
- One user expresses how difficult life is with an autoimmune disease even without having six kids to care for. “I so disagree. I am in pain a lot. sleeping issues, always tired. It’s hard enough to just take care of ME. I couldn’t imagine six kids-plus a reality show. And: I’ve never had to go through-town athlete, working out is what I do, who I am, mostly it feels like yeah! To I have an auto-immune disease and I cannot! I’ve never gone from totally normal to disabled-so I cannot imagine. Just like people disabled at 50, cannot totally understand what my childhood/teens were like. They cannot I’ve felt like I lost part of my identity or most of my identity and it was hard!! I’ve never had Mimi for a mom at 8 or 10. I looooooooooooooove Mimi!! I am sure Danielle, Ashely, Crystal all love their mom! She’s a good person. However: I feel like Mimi was not/is not the easiest person to have as a mom. This season D let out what I thought the whole time; from a very young age, she was the one trying to take care of everything.”
Some People Deeply Understand Where She Is Coming From
- “This, if people can imagine life changing overnight, but in a way no one else can see. ‘You don’t look sick.’ Let alone most people knowing about or understanding. ‘You’re just an overwhelmed mom. You’re just depressed.’ (No, but living with chronic illness/pain would depress anybody!) I wish more people might stop and think. Imagine suddenly being cut down, suddenly unable to do anything some of the time, unpredictably, (and suddenly unable to do much, all of the time), and not being able to make plans or be relied on when you used to be the go to for others, or helping others, or you have to work and pay the bills and are the breadwinner. Chronic disabling illness doesn’t care about any of that.”
- “Auto-immune pain and fatigue is really unimaginable unless you’ve experienced it. It is way beyond exhaustion.”
Fans Believe Danielle Busby Uses Her Illness To Be A ‘Jerk’
While some OutDaughtered fans are very understanding of Danielle Busby’s limitations, others think she uses it as an excuse to be a jerk. Many of the fans are compassionate since she has multiple chronic illnesses. However, some people think she needs to check her attitude.
- “You can be in pain and not be a jerk! There is so no excuse to talk to her partner that way! No one is questioning her parenting. You can be a great parent and not a great partner. There is no doubt that she talks to Adam like a child and that he doesn’t deserve it.”
- However, someone else stands up for Danielle, “I mean…. Adam acts like a child. Sooo…” Another person agrees, “He is also a bit of a diva.”
- Likewise, someone adds, “I get the chronic pain thing. I am in massive pain 24/7. Pain meds don’t touch it. However, I don’t speak to my partner the way she speaks to Adam. Chronic illness is not license to be a jerk.”
Danielle Busby’s Flare-Ups Come When It Is Convenient
Although many viewers are aware that autoimmune disease isn’t consistent nor predictable, others think Danielle Busby only gets “sick” when it is convenient.
- “Danielle only seems to ‘be in pain’ when it is convenient for her. I understand that there are diseases that are subjective but, I don’t buy for one minute that Danielle has any form of chronic illness. It is all for sympathy and attention. She needs to create a storyline to keep that stupid show on the air. She has done nothing but exploit her children. The show is done, cooked, the girls are no longer cute little toddlers, they are spoiled brats now, thanks to the parents. Danielle and Adam are doing everything they can to keep that show on the air. I stopped watching it years ago…..I couldn’t handle the fake storylines and the girls hitting, pulling hair, screaming, yelling and fighting with no parenteral intervention or discipline.
What’s the deal with Danielle?
