Mike Wolfe’s Future Revealed After ‘American Pickers’ Ratings Fall

American Pickers ratings have dropped considerably since the show fired Frank Fritz. However, Mike Wolfe has tried to weather on, despite the fans’ clear message that they are unhappy. With that said, many fans felt the show was nearing cancelation because of poor ratings. Now, news broke concerning the future of Mike Wolfe and his reality TV show.

Here is what we know about Mike Wolfe’s future with American Pickers.

Will American Pickers Get Canceled?

Many fans worry that the History Channel planned to cancel American Pickers. The network has already preempted the show at various times, set it up on a bad schedule, and seems unhappy with its recent struggles. The reality TV show’s ratings for the season bottomed out at 774,000 on Valentine’s Day. Its largest audience didn’t even hit a million. Only 948,999 viewers tuned in on January 24.

The biggest fan backlash concerns how Mike Wolfe treated his long-time friend Frank Fritz. Frank dealt with addiction issues, but he also had severe health issues that required back surgery. The show fired him while he rehabbed from a surgery and fans rebelled harshly. When Frank suffered a massive stroke, it sent most American Pickers fans into his corner, with many bashing Mike for how he treated his friend before the stroke.

The fans fought back by tuning out of the show, resulting in a massive ratings drop. However, despite the low ratings and fan backlash against Mike, the History Channel still believes in its long-running reality TV show. After 14 years on the air, fans will get more of American Pickers, with Mike Wolfe still at the forefront of the property.

Mike Wolfe Signs Multi-Year Deal For More American Pickers

Mike Wolfe has signed a new extension with the History Channel to star in American Pickers. The new deal is for three more seasons, according to one show insider (via The U.S. Sun).

According to the source, Mike Wolfe is on the road and is filming for Season 26, with three new seasons coming. However, Frank Fritz will have nothing to do with the returning show. Frank is still recovering from his stroke, and things are going well for the reality TV star as his conservators continue to take care of his finances and well-being.

Instead, Mike Wolfe will continue to the road, looking for hidden treasures with his brother, something that fans haven’t been all aboard with since Frank left the show. The show has sent out an open call for anyone with private collections they want the show to visit to sign up.

There were also rumors that Mike and Robbie planned to end American Pickers, and one source wasn’t sure how long the show would continue. However, things changed and Mike will be around for at least three more seasons.
