‘Doubling Down With The Derricos’ Premiere Date & Trailer
Doubling Down With the Derricos is back with a premiere date and a trailer after fans feared that the show was canceled. In August last year, after Season 4 ended, there was no renewal announcement. However, most fans assumed it would return. Now, on social media, TLC and Karen Derrico confirmed it’s back.
Fans Fought For Doubling Down With the Derricos
TLC fans who love Deon and Karen Derrico and their family of 14 kids were shocked to hear that TLC seemed reluctant to renew the show. Deon Derrico sent fans to sign up and request for the show’s renewal. Many people argued that there were not many family-friendly shows on the network. Fortunately, in the comments of a post, Deon advised that the show would return in May.
The new Season of Doubling Down With the Derricos premieres on TLC on May 14. You can watch it on TLC, discovery+, and Max. The show airs at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Notably, many people believed that airing it later wasn’t ideal because lots of little kids were in bed by then. So, they started a petition. Whether that helped with a renewal and a time change isn’t clear.

DDWTD Has A Trailer With Spoilers
TLC and Karen Derrico shared the confirmation date and a trailer for the show on Monday this week. In the teaser, DDWTD fans could see a lot of chaos but it was full of fun. When they all went shopping, Deon said in his confessional:
Out of eight boys, five of them are going through puberty, and my boys are girl-crazy!
The Doubling Down with the Derricos spoilers revealed that they have a new house. In case you were wondering, the noise levels rose about a thousand notches as the kids celebrated the news. Karen Derrico’s oldest child, Darian exclaimed, “It’s huge!” Later, she also talked about the program she applied to after high school for studies that involved “singing and performing.” However, she felt her mom wanted it more than she did. And that, folks, brings us to the drama.
Historically, there was very little ugly drama. Perhaps TLC agreed to renew the show if they threw in some drama to get fans talking about it on social media. Deon and Karen Derrico started having a big fight, shouting at each other about Darian’s studies. And, Karen walked out on him. Additionally, she decided that she hated the house because there were problems that needed fixing, saying it was “like ground zero.”
On a worrying note, Deon’s mom, GG, who Doubling Down With the Derricos fans adore, told the family that she’s stopping her “chemotherapy.” Furthermore, someone was injured and went off in an ambulance.
