Mama June: Family Crisis has gotten WeTV fans raging about Alana Thompson going to college, and now June Shannon claims that her daughter might change to another one. Why change and why the fury? Well, it’s related to them requesting donations for tuition and fans think that’s unfair on viewers.
Mama June Alana Thompson Faces Money Issues – June Shannon Lies
WeTV fans were happy when they heard that June Shannon’s daughter might break the mold and get a proper career. However, their hopes faded now. Not because of college fees, but because the whole family seems to be grifting. And, that might be an easier way for Alana to earn than actually studying. June Shannon made off with the kids’ money, so there’s a shortage of cash for a private college.
Other Mama June fans wonder why Alana Thompson can’t go to a cheaper public college. After all, private institutions are expensive. Additionally, it doesn’t look like her boyfriend Dralin is supporting her. Alana’s mom claimed she couldn’t help when she spoke with her. Meanwhile, June told Justin Stroud that she’d rather spend money on herself than pay for her daughter.

WeTV’s June Shannon Talks About A Change Of College
On Reddit, a Mama June fan who watched Justin Stroud’s wife on a TikTok live shared the news that June Shannon claimed her daughter would move to a different college. They wrote:
According to Junebug herself…Alana is looking at other colleges. Hmmmm. What do you bet it won’t be private and more affordable, thus allowing all those TT “donations” to go toward something else other than tuition.
In the comments, critics of Alana Thompson discussed the various options, and they slammed the Mama June family for allegedly being grifters.
Other Mama June critics think that she needs to consider a normal public college that’s cheaper. And maybe, that is what will happen. Actually, that probably explains why she might go elsewhere.
- She makes fun of $10 donations & even a $50 donation.
- How dare her!! She laughs making fun of these ppl who might have had only $59 or $10 to their name but they felt for her and sent their last penny!! Could’ve been an elderly person on SSI you f–ks!! Then you make fun of them!
- I’m thinking her grades in the prerequisite classes aren’t good enough to get her into the nursing program. It’s competitive because they only have a certain number of slots.
- Not surprised a bit. I would be more surprised if she actually decides to return to college full time though…
- She will never finish college. She will live the same life as her mother. Everyone has always catered to her and spoiled her. She is supporting a man and his cousin just like her mom. She lived with him from 16-18 on the show which they hide from you. She will keep conning people out of money and thus the cycle continues.

I don’t think she will even continue to go to school. She seems more interested in having Dralin up her ***. Shame on her for making fun of people sending her smaller amounts of money! People, quit sending her (them) money! They can work jobs just like most people have to!!!!!
the whole bunch of them are con artist!!!! terrible actors, terrible people, greed is their way of life. Alana is just like her mom gonna be supporting a man, how sad….but she chooses her fate. if you notice now days it’s being said Justin’s wife June, what the heck, he’s as worthless as they all are!!!! pumpkin needs to stop having babies and get a real life, get a real job, that husband of hers he’s a joke!!! he thinks he’s funny, uh stupid is more like it! I use to enjoy watching the show but now it’s not worth my time….hopefully the show will end and never return. 1. Community college 2 years. Possibly get certification for medical tech or something similar.
2. Later on Transfer to a state college or university for a degree.
3. Student loans from start to finish like everyone else. Fill out FAFSA forms which also require parents’ tax information.
Alana has had nothing but poor examples in her life. The eat excessively, run through money like water and cuss like sailors. She needs to go to an affordable school, away from the poor examples and drama she has been forced to live in. She also needs to move away from Dralyn as hes a poor example as well and she do much better.
Diet, save money, drop boyfriend, take care YOU for once in your life.
I love the show. As far as Pumpkin is concerned, she’s already stated that she was done with having babies. I agree their eating habits could be better but this is their life. This is what they know. I personally think Pumpkin’s husband is a saint for what he does and what he puts up with. There is no way in heck MY late husband would EVER have stayed home so I could go to Colorado or anywhere else for the weekend with four little ones running around. I am concerned that Ella is beginning to put on weight now.
