On Tuesday, March 5th, 2024, news broke that Garrison Brown had taken his own life. He had sent some ominous messages but this seemingly came out of left field. It was his younger brother, Gabriel Brown who ended up finding him in his Arizona home. Garrison’s parents, Janelle and Kody Brown both released statements after his passing. At the same time, Kody has been put through the wringer for how he treated his sons. His last remaining wife, Robyn Brown, has also received her fair share of social media hate. Some fans have said that this is not the time to rake Kody over the coals as he is a grieving father.
According to The Sun, Kody was actually at Garrison’s home upon learning he had passed. Per the police report, Janelle Brown arrived after Gabriel who was the one who found Garrison. She shared this: “Gabe left the scene to pick up his father and return with him to the apartment.” Despite the fact that Kody and Garrison were estranged, that did not stop Kody from wanting to be there. Clearly, it had hit him hard if Gabriel was picking him up and bringing him to the scene.

Other than Gabriel going to get their father, Kody is not mentioned elsewhere in the police report. Janelle did mention that Garrison and Kody were not on good terms but so did a family insider.
“They were still estranged and sadly, never made up before Garrison died. I don’t think they had even spoken since Covid times. I know for a fact there was no buddy/buddy hangout or friendship. Honestly, I can’t even remember the last time they saw each other. From what I know, the last time they really had an interaction was when they met up and had a big argument on camera.”

I read where someone blames Kody for Garrisons suicide. It’s no one’s fault but Garrisons. It was his decision. I’m like every one else, Kody is not my favorite person but my heart breaks for Janelle and him. My 32 y/o son did the exact same thing 8 years ago this month. I blameed myself for not seeing or knowing but he was extremely private. Put on a fake face. He was happy, joking and pulling pranks all his life and then a bad relationship changed him. Became severely depressed. Rarely laughed,smiled or joked. My son was in the Army Reserves. Claimed to be an alcoholic after Basic/AIT. I know the emptiness they are feeling. Their arms are forever empty even though they have more children. They are in a deep dark fog where there is no light coming in. I’m still waiting for the fog to lift some. Half of them died when he did. He left me 2 beautiful granddaughters that I rarely get to see now. Pray for them.
Kody is not innocent in this, but his Mother Janelle is just as much to blame.
They both gladly took TLC money, which took priority over their family’s feelings and thoughts.
It just bugs me that the comment section here, is all over just Kody, and giving Janelle a pass – I don’t think so. She was on social media the next day after her son killed himself.
Think about that one, she was concerned with keeping her followers informed, really?!
As a Mother, I would be in the fetal position, agonizing over the loss of my baby boy.
TLC is not in the clear either. They have a responsibility here for taking advantage of the family, and urging them on to be as despicable as they can muster.

how dare you make such a heartless comment. my son fought his demons until he committed Suicide. she was in shock. she shared her family the World and I feel she was letting people who lived Garrison from afar know of his passing. you are a heartless human with a black soul for saying such rude comments about a Mother who just lost her beloved child. you either don’t have kids and never experienced that bond or Hopefully you don’t have children. the entire family is suffering. I just can’t believe what a cold hearted snake you are. they will never recover from this and praise her for having the strength to tell the World about her son. smh
Any of the kids that were over 18 made their own decision whether to participate in the show and they participated to get a check, so Janelle or Cody cannot be blamed for Garrison continuing to be on the show. That was his decision to make money just like anyone else that was on the show because there were a lot of their kids that did not participate in the show, or they only made cameo appearances here and there.
It’s no ones fault. Once depression sets in a mind, depending on one’s own coping abilities, it’s that persons choice if they take their own life. Some cannot snap back and see a way out of it. Though it’s sad & tragic, no one is to blame, however, it is a good lesson to learn to work your differences out so you have nothing you have to deal with conscience wise. Anything can happen, not just suicide, anything… and no time to make things right!
My advice, clear it up, or live with the
“ I wish I had done this or that’s” for the remainder of your life. It’s not worth it, so screw the pride, make it all right, while you have the chance. You never know, look at this situation, it could be YOU!

You are right, Kody and Robin would not go to Garrisons apt.
Kody was to busy blaming ‘everyone ( his children especially))’ for his strained relationships with his children whilst putting Robyn up on a pedestal .

No wonder those kids were heartbroken!!
Kody needs to wake up to himself ( somehow I doubt that he ever will)

He avoided those kids for months on end …due to Covid….YET those rules didn’t apply when it came to Robyn and her kids….and who can forget the fact that the rules didn’t apply to him when it camAe time for him to get up close and personal at his friend’s wedding!

Cody had all of these rules and was nasty to Janelle, Gabriel and Garrison, but it was his household that ended up having the big Covid outbreak. Isn’t karma something. He could not blame any of the other family members for this because of his insane rules so in the end everyone else got the last laugh, especially Christine, who did not hide it.
No one is to blame for Garrison making that decision to take his own life .Yes Kody is to blame for lots of other issues goubg on with his family and that’s because of his make ego ..But when it comes to Garrison’s suicide no, no one is to blame..His depression got the vast of him..This I know from experience.I too suffer from chronic depression,I too tried to take my life,I survived,but no one was to blame but me.and my decision to end life .What ppl fail to realize is that when a person is suffering from depression (any type of depression) the mind seems to take over and convincing the person that suicide is the best way out.Once the mind takes control it’s hard to ignore it.The thought plays over and over day after day until the person is convinced this is what they are going to do ..the final thought,the final decision.And no one can stop them .The person will not alert anyone or give hints or much less tell anyone if his decision.Finally the damage is done ,a life taken away. The family left to worry and figure out WHY?? Leaving the family and friends pointing fingers at each other.Blameing one another for not paying attention for signs .It’s no one’s fault.He made this decision and carried out on it..And it was so easy because the mind took control..I have that experience,I survived but I now know that it’s ok to speak out and reach for help .Ppl need not to judge or point fingers and blame anyone because what you see on the show is not about his whole life and does not go into Garrison’s depression.So stop blaming anyone..The blame is solely on Garrison.
