‘Sister Wives’ Fans Demand Kody Brown Bashing Stop
Sister Wives fans are demanding that the Kody Brown bashing stop in the wake of his son, Garrison Brown’s passing. News broke on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024 that Garrison had died by an apparent suicide. Soon, followers were coming for the father of eighteen. So, what are fans saying in light of the tragedy? It is no secret that Kody Brown and many of his children had a strained relationship. This happened when the pandemic began and he enforced strict protocols. Not only did he spend most of his time with his fourth wife, Robyn Brown but he demanded things of his other wives. Kody told his former second wife that she should throw their two sons, Gabriel and Garrison out of her home. He felt it would be safer as Gabe was in school and had a girlfriend while Garrison was working.
Things never got better and then, Garrison allegedly took his own life with Gabriel being the one to find him. Both Janelle and Kody released statements but they turned the comments off. Fans still found a way of leaving rude comments on Kody’s Instagram:

After a certain point, Sister Wives fans took to Reddit to express their feelings and they felt Kody deserved some grace during this time.

Though the OP acknowledged that Kody Brown was not a great dad, this is still an awful situation and should be treated as such. They also felt people should just be kind and offer sympathy rather than cruel words. So, what did fellow Redditors have to say? Did they agree or think fans could do what they wanted?
Leave Kody Alone
The general consensus was that the whole Sister Wives family should be left alone at this point. Cruel words should not be said to any of them, not even Kody Brown:
- Their lives will never be the same.
- The heartless cruelty of gunning for anyone in this family right now is 100% unacceptable. I cannot even fathom the pain they are all experiencing and to have people pile on you during such an extremely vulnerable time. Wow. I hope Kody is able to grieve properly and I mean that sincerely.
- Nobody, not even Kody, should have to face this ugliness. His son is dead. It’s a tragedy. Full Stop.

I agree Cody and the rest of the whole family this is not the time to make him feel bad I’m sure he’s feeling bad enough especially when none of you know why he did commit suicide let’s just leave the family alone and let him grief
This isn’t the time to say bad things to or about Cody Brown. He is the father, leave him alone.
I worry for Gabe. Finding his brother. He will have that imagine in his mind forever. Bless him!!
Unfortunately having their lives on television for so many years is going to result in many fans to have strong feelings about Garrison’s passing. However we as fans should remember that regardless of what we saw on television that there was a lot going on behind the scenes.
It could be noted that yes Garrison was still estranged from his dad and that may have had something to do with his passing. Of course no one will ever know so it’s futile to argue about it. While I have my own thoughts on the subject, I prefer to share them in Facebook groups designed for fans. Everyone will have opinions and that’s fine…. personally I believe in karma and have faith that things will happen in the future as needed. Its not my job to bash or judge anyone. What I can do is say I believe that Garrison’s death is a tragedy and I sincerely hope that extra care is being shown to his brother Gabriel who found him. Hopefully a repeat tragedy with his brother can be avoided. RIP Garrison, you were loved by many and your time here has been noted and will be remembered by many. Many blessing to his survivors!
