Many 90 Day Fiance fans think that Darcey Silva suffers from body dysmorphia. But, what is that? Psychology Today explains that it often starts in the teen years and can be traced back to an abusive situation.
Body dysmorphic disorder is a type of obsessive-compulsive disorder. An individual with body dysmorphic disorder is overly preoccupied with what are perceived as gross imperfections in their appearance and spends an hour or more every day thinking about the way they look.

Just this week, Darcey and Stacey fans on Reddit talked about the TLC star’s Cat Woman phase. Well, the conversation’s still ongoing, and behold! Today, she shared that she’s now had another facelift. Clearly, reality TV fans need to stay sharp. After all, Cat Woman is so yesterday. New photos on her Instagram stories reveal that she transformed into Barbie.
As far as Darcey and Stacey fans can tell, Darcey Silva hasn’t been officially diagnosed with body dysmorphia. What makes them so upset is that in their opinion, the TLC star was always beautiful. However, if she has body dysmorphia, it’s not about vanity. Instead, it often accompanies deep insecurity and a need for “reassurance.”
People who care about the TLC star sometimes beg her to seek mental health treatment. Unfortunately, if she needs that, she seems more inclined to spend time with her cosmetic surgeon.
