Jon Gosselin Thrives While Ex-Wife Kate Crumbles?
It seems like life is very different for the Gosselins after their divorce. Jon and Kate Gosselin raised their eight children on TLC in front of the world. Sadly, the couple split up and the show ended. It rebranded as simply Kate Plus 8 for a while, but that series was short-lived.
Since then, Jon Gosselin has lived a relatively quiet life. Kate has been in and out of the spotlight and recently tried her hand at reality television again.
According to new reports, Jon is doing just fine while Kate is struggling to make ends meet. What exactly is going on with them?
The Gosselins are on very different wavelengths in 2023
Now that all eight children are legal adults, both Jon and Kate Gosselin are exploring the world and finding themselves. But it would appear that Jon is having a bit more success than Kate.
According to The Sun, Jon Gosselin is having a blast with his new career as a professional DJ. But Kate isn’t having much luck with her own career prospects. And to make matters worse, her financial situation is looking pretty desperate too.
An inside allegedly told the publication that the children who lived with Kate all moved out. She’s on her own at the moment and struggling to find a job. The Sun shares that she has a valid North Carolina nursing license, but doesn’t appear to be using it.
“None of the kids live at home. She lives on her own. All the kids went to college,” the source shared. “Kate hasn’t had a job other than reality TV for 17 years. It’s very clear that Kate has no interest in living a normal life and having a real job. It looks like Kate’s financial situation is dire.”
These days, Kate largely stays off of social media too. She posted back in June to share her thoughts about the situation with Collin Gosselin, then went back to silence.
Jon Gosselin seems to be in his element
While Kate Gosselin struggles, her ex-husband seems to be absolutely thriving. He loves sharing photos from his DJ gigs on social media. He recently captioned one, “My happy place. 🎶”
Jon still seems to be on rough terms with several of his children, including the twins. But he’s still making a life for himself amid the chaos and drama. Reportedly, Jon would love to rekindle his relationship with his estranged children. However, it’s unknown whether or not that will ever be a possibility.
