No one will ever know how much of yourself you’ve given to Jane Tennant. No one will ever understand how much this has become a part of you. I am so incredibly proud of you babe. You’re a badass on camera and off!!” Vanessa’s husband Nick Lachey wrote in the comments.

NCIS: Hawaii Reportedly Had More Stories To Tell

According to Deadline, Vanessa Lachey wasn’t the only one completely caught off guard by the heartbreaking news. Writers apparently intended the show to keep going. It seems that Season 3 will end with some loose ends. The show planned to address those in Season 4, but now fans will never know what became of their favorite characters. Deadline reports that fans shouldn’t expect any major cliffhangers, though.

“With strong multi-platform performance, as NCIS: Hawai’i ranked above several CBS dramas that have been renewed, including FBI: Most Wanted, FBI: International and S.W.A.T., it likely came down to money,” the publication shares as the most likely reason behind the network’s unfortunate decision.
