‘Southern Charm’ Kathryn Dennis Back For Season 9
Southern Charm alum Kathryn Dennis is reportedly back for Season 9 but how many episodes will she be in? More so, when will her episodes start airing, and what will her storyline be without Thomas Ravenel? Read on for more details about her return.
Southern Charm Kathryn Dennis Back For Season 9
Kathryn Dennis announced that she was leaving Southern Charm prior to the new season. She had been a guest for Season 1 then an integral part of the show from Season 2 through eight. Unfortunately, it seemed that she could not cut the mustard when it came to being on time and professionalism. Though she acted like it was her choice to exit, there have been mixed stories about that. She has been through a lot with her romance with fellow alum Thomas Ravenel. The former couple have two children together and now it seems that she is making her SC comeback yet in what capacity?
According to Deadline, Craig Conover shared that Kathryn has been filming for the current season. He opened up about her during the Southern Charm panel at BravoCon when fans wondered where Dennis was. “We love Kathryn. Kathryn is an integral part of this show. Shep [Rose] and I actually filmed with her this year. I don’t think it was supposed to happen but we did it and I think they did it as a favor to us because we love her so much. I hope we get to see it — we probably won’t.”
So, it seems that the cast still wants to work with Kathryn Dennis, and production obliged. Yet, Craig feels like it might end up on the cutting room floor. He added that he is hopeful she will return in the future and believes that the door is always open for her. However, at the moment, she is taking the time to focus on herself and better who she is. Until all of this comes together, she can’t really commit to returning to the series which makes sense. Shep Rose echoed Craig’s sentiments.

According to Shep Rose, Kathryn Dennis was just 21 when she started the Southern Charm journey. So, they have come a long way despite a lot of falls along the way. Inherently, they know Kathryn is a good person inside. Finally, the cast wished she had been there at the panel with all of them but they want her to be there in 2024. She is currently in legal hot water for a hit-and-run that landed a deputy in the hospital. Kathryn still has a lot going on, as Craig Conover mentioned, but there is hope.
