Tragedy has struck 1000-Lb. Sisters star Amanda Halterman’s family and now she is begging for prayers. She has been the funny and silly sister along with Misty Slaton. Tragedy Strikes Amanda Halterman’s Family, Begs For Prayers
Last season of 1000-Lb. Sisters was a rough one for Amanda Halterman. She had to watch her little sister, Tammy Slaton try to achieve her weight goal so she could get weight loss surgery. It seemed like an uphill battle and an impossible feat. In the meantime, Tammy’s home was robbed and she felt hopeless. However, she reached her goal with her sisters by her side, got the surgery, found love, lost a bunch of weight, and Amanda was there all of the way. Of course, Amanda was also trying to better herself amid a divorce.
Now, according to her Instagram, things are not so great. Amanda Halterman posted a picture of an at-home Covid test and sadly, it was positive. In the caption, the mother of four wrote: “Y’all pray for ya girl. Covid has hit our family.” In the next slide, she was seen lying in bed, looking absolutely miserable. It was clear that the virus not only hit her family but it hit her hard. Amanda’s eyes were barely opened, her face was flushed, and her lips were swollen and red.

Followers immediately reached out to her with questions and recommendations. Yet, there were some who simply sent the much-needed prayers that Amanda Halterman had asked for. Since she is a bus driver, one follower had this to say: “Damn sis! Feel better! It’s going around the schools again so I think you and I are prime targets.” Another joked that every time they see the positive tests, their mind immediately goes to pregnancy. It seems others have also been hit just as badly as Amanda so they can definitely empathize and relate.
New Season Coming
Filming on 1000-Lb. Sisters has seemingly just wrapped up so that means more of Amanda Halterman’s commentary. It appears that she was there for her sister, Amy Halterman when she separated from her husband, Michael. Amanda took care of their two sons and ensured they were safe and loved. She was also there when Tammy’s husband of seven months, Caleb Willingham passed away. Therefore, this is definitely going to be one interesting rollercoaster season.
