‘American Pickers’ Frank Fritz Angry At Mike Wolfe Leaking Stroke News
When Frank Fritz suffered a stroke, it sent shockwaves through the American Pickers fanbase. However, it was how the fans of the reality TV show learned of the stroke that bothers Frank the most.
His former friend Mike Wolfe, who reportedly got Frank fired from American Pickers, to begin with, leaked the news of the stroke. That is something that didn’t make Frank very happy.
Frank Fritz mad that Mike Wolfe leaked news on stroke
The Quad-City Times spoke with a friend of Frank Fritz about the former American Pickers star’s condition after his stroke. While Frank’s dad mentioned that his son was in “stable” condition, this is the most news anyone has received from anyone in the know. However, while telling the press how Frank was, his friend made a comment that showed how Frank felt about his health conditions getting leaked.
“He would like everyone to know he continues to get better every day and is very determined,” his friend said. “He really is getting better every single day. While Frank was not prepared at the time for his condition to be published, he is grateful for all the prayers and well wishes. On his road to recovery, he is asking (fans) to donate or to adopt a pet from our local Humane Society of Scott County as he is planning on adopting a cat in the near future. This is an organization that he is very passionate about. Again, thank you for all the prayers.”

Frank Fritz seems to be getting better
The comments about how Frank Fritz is doing are encouraging. It sounds like he is improving and planning for his eventual release and return to health. However, there was one part of that statement that spoke volumes. “While Frank was not prepared at the time for his condition to be published…” It is clear that Frank was not wanting the entire world to know about his health conditions, and was not happy that Mike leaked it to the world.
There was more investigation after Mike told everyone about the stroke. The friend who found him revealed he couldn’t move or communicate and was lying on the floor. However, Frank knew that Mike told everyone and he doesn’t seem to like that idea, especially after he said that Mike hadn’t even contacted him once after the back surgery that caused him to leave American Pickers for time off, to begin with.
Mike Wolfe has leaked Frank’s personal information before
This isn’t the first time that Mike Wolfe told the world about Frank Fritz’s medical information. Frank took a leave of absence from American Pickers in 2020 to deal with back surgery. He also took time to go into rehab to quit drinking and lose weight. He wanted to return to the show, but Mike seemingly axed that idea.
Mike then talked about Frank’s battles with alcohol addiction to members of the press and on social media, possibly making a reason for why his old friend wouldn’t return to the show. Frank has fought to get better before his stroke. He even had a possible spinoff planned. Mike just couldn’t seem to stop talking about him and it seems Frank is frustrated at the constant attention.
