Mike Wolfe felt reminiscent as Frank Fritz continues to fight for his life. Does that mean he wants his former friend back on the show? The American Pickers star shared another emotional social media post. Yet, fans don’t believe Mike’s sadness and tears.

They blamed him for Frank’s problems. Some of them even called him out for firing Frank. They think he’s the one who’s the blame for the major cast shakeup. Mike’s younger brother Robbie replaced Frank.

Ever since then, ratings for the History Channel series plummeted to under one million viewers. In the meantime, Mike is in his feelings as his former co-star recovers from his stroke.

Frank Fritz wanted to return to American Pickers

As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Frank was “desperate” to return to the hit show. He had all intentions of fully recovering from his back surgery and getting back to work. He first appeared on the History Channel show in 2010 alongside his childhood friend and fellow picker, Mike Wolfe.

The two traveled across the nation looking for unique artifacts and antiques. He was “desperate” to get back on the show as soon as possible. At the time, he was recovering from back surgery that left rods and stitches along the spine. Frank didn’t see himself walking away from the show he started with Mike Wolfe.

Once he was fully recovered, he had full intentions of getting back to where they started. But then the show moved on without him. The History Channel rolled out the promo for Season 23 and announced that Robbie would replace Frank. Even though Frank was healthy enough to return to the show, they claimed that he wasn’t ready.

It was as if production was pushing him on the way out. Frank claims the show fired him for cost-effective reasons. It’s likely they didn’t want to pay him more money since he became the fan favorite. Frank felt it was important for him to return for the sake of his fanbase.

Mike Wolfe shares an emotional Instagram post

Mike Wolfe admitted he was crying when he looked at a photo of his daughter. He took to Instagram to share a photo of his daughter hugging his mother. The ladies have their backs to the camera as they embrace each other. This made Mike feel emotional and reminiscent of the older times.

“The two most important ladies in my life,” Mike Wolfe captioned the post. “Mama Wolfe and Baby Wolfe, seeing them together brings tears of joy to my eyes. Everything else fades away and my world feels complete.”

Mike could be feeling reminiscent and emotional since his longtime friend is still in the hospital. He carried on with the nostalgia on his Instagram Story by sharing throwback photos of his little girl. Last week, Frank suffered a massive stroke and is fighting for his life.
