‘American Pickers’ Mike Wolfe Gets Ripped By Fans
American Pickers fans reacted poorly when Mike Wolfe took to social media recently. Wolfe asked fans to pray for his former friend and co-star Frank Fritz after he suffered a stroke.
The problem is that American Pickers fired Frank from the show and the two had not spoken in two years. As a result, many fans felt that Mike was simply writing a performative post. What resulted was American Pickers fans lashing out at Mike Wolfe.
Mike Wolfe reveals Frank Fritz suffered a stroke
Frank Fritz, 58, suffered a stroke and his former friend and co-host Mike Wolfe let fans know the news via Instagram. The post started with Mike explaining that he has remained private about Frank since he was fired from the show, but he wanted people to know about the medical issues and asked for prayers.
“I have been very private in the past year in regards to Franks life and the journey he’s been on,” Mike wrote. “There has been lots of opinions in regards to mine and Frank’s friendship and the show but now is not the time to set the record straight. Now is the time to pray for my friend. Frank has suffered a stroke and is in the hospital. Please keep him in your hearts and thoughts. Frank I pray more than anything that you make it through this okay. I love you buddy.”
This seemed like a nice post, but based on what happened between Mike and Frank, many fans didn’t buy it.
American Pickers fans are not happy with Mike Wolfe
Frank Fritz and Mike Wolfe had been friends since childhood. However, in 2020, Frank couldn’t film the show because he had back surgery and had to recover from it. He also suffers from Crohn’s disease and lost a lot of weight. Frank recently stopped drinking after battling addiction issues throughout his life and checked into rehab. However, during this recovery period, Mike fired his friend from American Pickers.
Frank told The Sun at the time that he hadn’t talked to Mike in two years. “I haven’t talked to Mike in two years. He knew my back was messed up, but he didn’t call me up and ask how I was doing. That’s just how it is.” He also said in the interview that he always knew that he was second string to Mike and he accepted that, although he felt that Mike always wanted even more.
This had led to fans not appreciating Mike’s Instagram post where he called Frank his “friend” and “buddy.” After not speaking in over two years and Mike not acting concerned about Frank’s previous medical problems spoke volumes for some fans.
One fan responded to the comments, “Hey Mike you f**ked your so called life long friend, are you okay with that?”
Another wrote, “Why the concern now, Mike? You weren’t worried before. A little too late, I think. Pretty lame, not real.”
Finally, another said, “Mike should be feeling like s**t right now for what he did to Frank.”
Frank suffered his stroke on July 14 and in the 911 call, his friend said Frank was “sprawled out on the floor” and couldn’t speak.

So its Mikes fault Frank had issues and needs to be ripped apart for not babying a grown man? IM sure he and Frank had talks over the years. Im sure there was “help” offered. Obviously Frank had issues and didnt want the change. NOBODY out there in the real world knows a thing about these guys. You dont know them because you watch a scripted tv show. Stop acting like you do. The problem with the world is they put the blame and heat on the wrong people. Try being accountable for your own life,your own actions.

People shouldn’t jump to conclusions about this situation! We do not know the whole story behind Mike and Frank’s situation! I have watched this show form the beginning and they have a special bond between them! There are two sides to every story!
