Aimeé Teegarden Inks Multi-Picture Deal With Hallmark’s Parent Company
Aimeé Teegarden is the latest star to sign with Crown Media Family Networks, Hallmark’s parent company.
Here are all the details.
Aimeé Teegarden Signs Contract With Crown Media Family Networks
Crown Media has just signed Friday Night Lights alum Aimeé Teegarden to a multi-picture deal. According to Deadline, this is an exclusive deal with the company.
Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President, Programming, Crown Media Family Networks shared the news.
Aimeé’s charming performances have resonated with viewers and critics alike, we are thrilled to continue working with her on new feel-good movies,
Teegarden, who is starring in the upcoming Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Heart Of The Matter, is thrilled with this development.
Getting to work with Hallmark on projects that are both heartwarming and inspirational has been a dream come true. I’m ecstatic to continue.
The 32-year-old actress has starred in a few other popular Hallmark movies. Moreover, she starred along with Andrew Walker in one of the most successful 2021 Christmas movies, My Christmas Family Tree.
Could Hallmark Film Star-Crossed Reunion Romance?
Now that Aimeé Teegarden has signed a multi-picture deal, some fans want to see a Star-Crossed reunion between Teegarden and Matt Lanter.
On Twitter, one fan shared the news with the request, “@hallmarkchannel Star-Crossed fans want a movie with @Aimeeteegarden and @MattLanter !! Please.”
In the CW series, Teegarden plays Emery, a human girl who finds unlikely romance with Roman (Matt Lanter), an alien boy who was part of an alien group that crash landed in their small town.
Unfortunately, they only made 13 episodes.
However, Hallmark has been responsible for an ER reunion, a Galavant reunion, and a Desperate Housewives reunion. Why not make Star-Crossed fans happy with a happily ever after movie.
Aimeé Teegarden One Of Many Stars Signed To Exclusive Contracts
Since former Hallmark CEO, Bill Abbott started GAC Media, there has been a competition for talent.
Along with Teegarden, Hallmark’s parent company has signed Lacey Chabert, Holly Robinson Peete, Andrew Walker, Taylor Cole, Jonathan Bennett, Brennan Elliott, and Heather Hemmens to exclusive deals with the network.
Moreover, there have been rumors that Hallmark was intending on getting away from such contracts. However, when one of their biggest stars Danica McKellar defected to GAC, there became a signing frenzy on both sides.
Although GAC has signed Candace Cameron Bure to an executive position, as well as acting and producing, they also signed Trevor Donovan, and Jen Lilley to exclusive, multi-picture contracts.
Although the former Hallmark CEO’s new network also signed other talent, the loss of Candace Cameron Bure was a shocker. She was deeply involved in producing her own movies, and mystery series, Aurora Teagarden. Therefore, this was a surprise to Hallmark fans.
However, it will be interesting to see who signs the next big star. Any guesses?
