What is Hallmark’s Heart Of The Matter About?

According to the Hallmark synopsis, Andie Hodges (Teegarden) is an accomplished, young cardiologist. Andie has a great passion for the patients she treats. Moreover, she prides herself on giving them the best of care.

However, the accidental death of Henry (Massey), a young patient of Andie’s with an intellectual disability, leaves her shaken and doubting her ability as a doctor.

Moreover, as she grapples with this loss, a confrontation with Henry’s angry mother Gladys (O’Grady) adds to her despair. This leads Andie to further question her professional future.

With a malpractice lawsuit looming and potential sanctions from the medical review board, Andie begins to rethink her loving relationship with Patrick (Zachar), who has been understanding and supportive of her. But as Andie and Gladys learn to overcome their sorrow through forgiveness, they learn that acceptance leads to hope.

The premiere of Hallmark’s Heart Of The Matter is on Sunday, May 15, at 9 p.m., Eastern. Encore showings include Tuesday, May 17, at 5 p.m., Thursday, May 19, at 9 p.m., Sunday, May 22, at 7 p.m., and Friday, May 27, at 9 p.m., all times Eastern, on Hallmark’s Movies & Mysteries.
