Read on to find out if Amy will be returning for another season or if she has abandoned her weight loss goals for good.

Tammy Slaton Says a New Season Is Coming

The season’s finale left viewers with a lot of questions. How did the renovations on Amy’s new house come out? Will she be having a boy or a girl? After several weeks of suspense, Tammy revealed to fans on social media that 1000-Lb. Sisters Season 4 will be coming to TLC in the future. In one of her most recent Tik Tok videos, an avid fan begged Tammy Slaton for a life/health update. While the reality personality normally doesn’t respond to comments on her videos, this time she surprised followers with a response.

“I would love to give you a weight loss update,” Tammy told the commenter, “But you’ll have to wait until Season 4 comes out.”

Will Amy Halterman Be Returning For 1000-Lb Sisters Season 4?

While it’s easy to see that Tammy Slaton has plenty of stories left for the series to tell, fans wonder if they can say the same about Amy Halterman. While Tammy is still weighing in (allegedly) at 500+ pounds and has yet to have her surgery, Amy has made much more progress during her run on the show.

Amy Halterman started Season 1 at over 400 pounds. Her hard work and dedication to one day becoming a mom motivated her to lose the weight she needed to get approved for surgery. The show saw her through her bariatric procedure and then through her pregnancy a few months later. Now, a year after having her son, Gage – Amy announced at the end of Season 3 that she and her husband, Michael Halterman are expecting their second child.

Long ago, Amy revealed that her main motivation for wanting to lose weight was so that she could have children. She had always dreamed of being a mother and her weight pre-surgery was holding her back from doing that. Now that she is preparing to have her second child, fans aren’t so sure that Amy will return to the show. While Tammy has confirmed new episodes will happen  – she didn’t say that Amy would be in them.

Can The Show Go On Without Amy?

Amy Halterman has, on multiple occasions told the media that she wasn’t sure she wanted to continue filming. The reality celeb has cited that the grueling film schedule takes time away from her family and adds a lot of additional stress to her life on top of pregnancy and motherhood. So, if Amy chooses to leave the show and not film another season, can the show keep going?

Well, many fans are concerned that the show itself is called ‘1000-lb Sisters. If Amy leaves, it sort of defeats the purpose of the name altogether. How might the network push the show forward without her? Well – it’s likely that the show would have to actually change its name.

The show’s viewers have often hypothesized that if something happened to Tammy – the show could still go on. In seasons past, when fans have gotten fed up with Tammy’s toxic behavior, they began calling for the network to remove her from the series. Additionally, this came at a time when Amy and Tammy’s older siblings had become a larger part of the show. They thought that if Tammy got booted, TLC might rename the show to ‘Thousand Pound Siblings’ continue on with focusing more on Chris, Amanda, and Misty’s lives in addition to Amy.

Now, if Amy doesn’t return, fans wonder if the show will get canceled or modified. Evidence right now points to  Amy Halterman still being on the show, at least in some capacity. Why? Well, if Tammy is saying that fans need to wait for Season 4 for an update – you can’t have a 1000-Lb Sisters Season 4 with only one sister.

Do you think that Amy Halterman will be participating in Season 4? Tell us in the comments.
