‘Vanderpump Rules’ Cast Snubs ‘Something About Her’ Opening
Did the Vanderpump Rules cast snub Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s sandwich shop opening on May 22nd, 2024? Something About Her finally had its grand opening after doing a soft launch for about a week. Yet, it seemed that none of their co-stars cared enough to send support. Keep reading for more details.
Vanderpump Rules Cast Snubs ‘Something About Her’ Opening
Katie Maloney proposed the idea of a sandwich shop back in Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules. She had wanted to do it with her then-husband, Tom Schwartz but he was in-deep with his bars. Luckily, Ariana Madix was up for the challenge and Something About Her was born. Their goal was to “romanticize lunch” but it took longer than they expected. At the end of Season 10, the ladies did a tasting with the hopes that they would be open soon. Sadly, permit problems derailed them and they spent Season 11 trying to pick up the pieces. At the reunion, Lala Kent went after Katie and mocked the name of the shop.
May 22nd, 2024 was finally their opening date, and the week prior, the ladies held a soft opening. The Valley star and VPR alum Kristen Doute stopped by as did Stassi Schroeder. Even Andy Cohen came in for a sandwich and was blown away by the experience. Other Bravolebs came to say hi but none of the current cast members were in attendance. The big opening of Something About Her came and went with none of the cast sharing any positive vibes. Yet, one co-star is riding for the girls and it just so happens to be Tom Schwartz.
According to Reality Tea, he shared something special on his Instagram story. Schwartz sent Ariana and Katie emoji flowers and suggested a sandwich for the menu. However, it seemed none of the other Vanderpump Rules cast said anything, down to Lisa Vanderpump who helped find the location. She was frustrated when the girls told her that they had parted ways with Penny, who helped with the menu. Yet, she has always maintained she loves seeing the cast move on and up.

To add to no support amid the opening, none of the Vanderpump Rules cast is even following Something About Her on Instagram, except Tom Schwartz. Yet, they all go to TomTom which is co-owned by Schwartz and Tom Sandoval along with LVP. Now, circling back to Schwartz, he has been an advocate for the sandwich shop. Along with Jax Taylor, the duo have embarked on a bus tour of the bars featured on the Bravo show. It includes SUR, TomTom, Schwartz & Sandy’s, and Jax’s Studio City. Schwartz noted he did reach out to Katie Maloney about involving Something About Her but the hours did not work.
