Something About Her Faces Major Hiccup On Opening Day
Something About Her has finally reached its opening day on May 22nd, 2024 but unfortunately, it has faced one major hiccup. Over the last week, Bravolebs and even Andy Cohen stopped into Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s long-awaited sandwich shop. Now the day is here but things are not going the way that the ladies had hoped. What happened? Keep reading for all of the details.
Something About Her Faces Major Hiccup On Opening Day
Vanderpump Rules fans have been waiting for Something About Her to open since Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney first came up with the idea. This was a proposal Katie shared with Ariana in Season 9. Back then, their former partners, Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz were working on the bar Schwartz & Sandy’s. Katie really wanted a purpose and she had always dreamed of a sandwich shop, possibly with her now ex-husband, Schwartz. When she brought it up to Ariana, she was on board and immediately said she would join in as her partner.
They had some issues and it took time to find the space but when they did, they were elated. The ladies got the best designer and wanted a shop of elegance and class. By the end of Season 10, they did the first tasting but permit issues caused them to have to rip the place apart. It seemed like the shop would never open, especially with Ariana getting a plethora of opportunities after ‘Scandoval.’ She was never around but Season 11 showed all of the setbacks. Finally, the date was set and May 22nd was the grand opening.

As documented, things did not go as planned for Something About Her. Fans were lined up around the block the moment the shop opened. However, Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney greeted them to share that their POS system was down. Therefore, they would be taking people one to two at a time to allow for proficiency. They both donned jeans, little tops, and overshirts to greet their guests who still seemed excited to get in there.
No Shock
After all that Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney have been through to open Something About Her, it is no shock that this would happen on opening day. After seeing this, fans rushed to the comment section to share their thoughts:
- I’ve managed so many restaurants and literally that happens on every important day! Busy holidays, opening days, etc! I know that stress, but they’re gonna kill it and it’s just a new restaurant initiation lol
- They’re so cute! I love that they’re just going forward the best they can. Rooting for them! 🔥🔥❤️❤️
- Opening a business is hard! Things always go wrong the first day!! This is no biggie! ❤️
Seems like this is so common and something that every place goes through. Therefore, no one was holding it against the ladies and only wished them the best of luck.
