Something About Her Opening Date Finally Revealed
Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix’s long-awaited sandwich shop, Something About Her, finally has an opening date. They have been teasing that it was coming very soon but could not say exactly when. Now, the time has come but when is it? Keep reading for all of the opening day details.
Something About Her Opening Date Finally Revealed
It felt like this day would never come and with good reason. Katie Maloney mentioned her dream of a sandwich shop in Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules to her then-husband, Tom Schwartz. He did not have the time as he was so invested in his other endeavors so she brought it up to Ariana Madix. She was all in so they found a location and started to get all of their ducks in a row. By Season 10, Something About Her was starting to look very promising and by the end of the season, the ladies did a sandwich tasting which was a big hit.
Sadly, they faced permit issues and a lot of their hard work had to be ripped up and out. Fans started to believe that the shop was for show. There was even a second tasting in Season 11 which felt redundant for the cast. Recently, the ladies were called “scammers,” something Katie had to clear up. She explained things had to come down to build it up to code but they were “dangerously close” to opening. According to The Sun, that is actually true.

Something About Her is set to have its grand opening on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024. This is nearly three years after they filed for their LLC. Prior to the grand opening, soft launches will be held to prep for the big day as their initial chef, Penny Davidi no longer works with the ladies. They shared she was not the right fit for the shop but they have been actively interviewing to get the shop up and running. Ariana and Katie had hired Tom Sandoval’s former assistant, Ann Maddox but it is unclear if she is still employed there.
Fans Are Skeptical
Despite an official opening date for Something About Her, fans are skeptical that this will happen or even last. @queensofbravo shared the good news and fans immediately popped into the comments:

Yet, some thought that this was a great business move by Katie and Ariana as it would secure a Season 12 storyline. Time will tell if this shop does open in time and will in fact remain open to the public.
