Leslie Fhima was the runner-up on The Golden Bachelor, and Gerry Turner broke her heart when he chose Theresa Nist, so now, that they are getting divorced, plenty of people claim that she dodged a bullet. In reply to those comments, Leslie broke her silence on social media.

Fans were angry with Gerry Turner because he told both of his women that they were the one for him. Poor Leslie was humiliated and distressed when he dumped her. Her family also felt angry, and many ABC fans supported her through those dark days. And yet, she attended the wedding. Despite all the pain, it seems that they became good friends.
Leslie Fhima didn’t initially say anything about the divorce news. Kathy Swarts and Susan Noles spoke up and Susan claimed that she still believes in seniors finding love on reality TV. Still, she admitted that the split between Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist was “heartbreaking,” “sad,” and “tragic.” Now, Leslie commented on it.

Golden Bachelor Runner-Up Opens Up On The Divorce
When the views of the rejected ABC star were expressed, she didn’t devote an entire post to it. Instead, her comments came after she and some of her Golden Bachelor friends went on Celebrity Family Feud. In her caption, she said:

Leslie Fhima soon got a torrent of people telling her that she“dodged a bullet.” And one person seemed scathing about Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner. Meanwhile, others wondered if she and Gerry would hook up again, Well, the Golden Bachelor star isn’t afraid to speak up, so she got involved in the discussion as well.
One of them felt that Leslie Fhima might have felt good about the split. In the replies, she put people right. Here is an extract of those comments:

My thoughts are they should’ve thought about the living arrangements prior to wasting time, money, feelings of the other women who were ready to make the move! I don’t agree with the reason for the breakup… if you love someone you can make it work… Compromise is the key to any successful marriage! If he wanted a partner because he was ready and lonely! What does this do for him now? Alone again and still nobody to spend his life with after all those months on TV…
Exactly they are trying to sugar coat the divorce. If you truly love someone you will do anything to be with that person. I think they just wanted to be on TV. The network spent a lot of money for nothing and they are famous..

This is why people on dating apps try to stay within so many miles of each other. They never once thought about their living situation? Shame on them. Maybe they jumped the gun getting married so fast and by doing so wasted a lot of money, they should have to pay every penny back. They look like two idiots.

I agree I wasn’t impressed with Gerry from the start. He played the sympathy card all the way to the end, then the truth came out revealing the x-girl friend. Theresa seems like a very independent woman cudos to her for not rearranging her life for such a flake. Leslie deserves better than Gerry the pathetic crybaby.
Does anyone truly care if they divorce ? Reality may have hit; imagine what it would be like to wake up to that . Surely, you know the one.

He was a loser from the second I laid eyes on him. Too bad Theresa didn’t see the money signs in those horrible eye. She well rid of him Leslie don’t ever pick up the phone to him.
From the get go I told my husband the distance is an issue. They both have grown kids and grandkids. No one is going to move that far away if they are close to them now. Why didnt they find women just in Indiana. It would have worked. I think they both got caught up in all the hoopla and money before thinking it through. At their age i am a little surprised.

It was on tv all I have to say is work out your problems together she loved her home grandchildren’s so why doesn’t he just stay in New Jersey they both can travel to see his family also. Good luck

I blame the network for the much to soon wedding. Come on, not even a year together. It was all about ratings for the network. They made a fortune. I doubt Theresa needed the money, and I know nothing about Gerry. Better now then down the road after they have changed jobs or moved.
I didn’t believe anything else Gary said after I found out that he had lied when he said he had not seen any women at all after his wife had die. I didn’t like it when he picked Theresa, I wanted it to be Faith. But I am sorry tho they are breaking up. Theresa and Faith deserve better!!

well he, Gerry, just signed with a BIG well known talent agency in Hollywood. so if he gets work he will have to travel right? I think it was all for the noteriety and money and just a big sham. I’m done with these type of shows. Wasted my time and some tears.
Really, on these shows you need to sit down and discuss politics, money, living arrangements and more before getting married. Best to just be engaged and not make that final step to see if it will work. There are so many people that get married to fast. They may be an alcoholic. You never know. Hidden things come out.
