Matt Brown celebrated a special milestone this week, years after he and his dad, Billy clashed. Remember, the Alaskan Bush People star was dumped from the Discovery Channel show but he’s getting by. Read on to find out about his latest milestone and why his followers are so happy for him.

Alaskan Bush People fans familiar with the cast know that Billy’s son struggled with sobriety. Eventually, he went to rehab and checked out in 2018. Later, he went on with his treatment at an outpatient clinic. Like every recovering addict, he struggles a lot. However, he has good support friends, and many fans who stick with him. Always encouraging him, they feel concerned if he disappears for even a few days.

Discovery Channel fans miss Matt Brown on the show. Despite rumors that he might return, there’s bad blood between him and his brother, Bear. However, he finds lots of people who support him on social media. He’s trying to make a difference for other people with sobriety issues, and many of them find him inspirational.

Alaskan Bush People Alum Celebrates A Special Sobriety Milestone

The Discovery Channel star stumbled a bit when he first started, but by 2020, he was on the road to sobriety and now, he can proudly claim his four-year milestone. Taking to his Instagram a few days ago, he shared his reel of himself looking healthy and clean. In his caption, the ABP alum wrote:

Hi, friends! Today is my 4 year sober anniversary!!! J.3.16

Later, Matt Brown showed his followers his sobriety badge and he seemed very proud of himself.

In his reel, he said:

Today is my sober anniversary. Four years ago…I put the bottle down for the last time. Today I talk about the journey and how difficult it was to get here. Also, how after a certain point it became easier. You see, relapse was part of my recovery. It doesn’t have to be, [but] it was, though. But, I have my sober coin here.

Additionally, Matt Brown also talked about multiple relapses, but by sticking with it, he can say, “I feel so good guys.”
