‘The Masked Singer’ Who Is Lizard? All The Hints & Clues
This week’s episode of The Masked Singer saw Group C hit the stage with four new contestants. When the episode ended, two newcomers had to face off in the Smackdown. Luckily for Lizard, he won out in the Smackdown round. Spaghetti & Meatballs unmasked as restaurateur and MasterChef judge Joe Bastianich. But who is Lizard?
Here is what Lizard sang on The Masked Singer, his clue package, and who we think is under the mask.
Lizard Performs On The Masked Singer
Lizard came out on The Masked Singer this week and performed a Billy Joel song on the night honoring the legendary singer/songwriter. For Lizard, the song was “Uptown Girl.” Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg said he was clearly a “showman” while Rita Ora said he was “tiny.” Lizard was in the bottom two and in the Smackdown round, he and Spaghetti & Meatballs sang “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song).”
The Lizard clue package started with him looking at a car on a lift. He said he is a “ladies’ man” and some think he is the “bad boy” that Billy Joel writes songs about. However, he says it is not true. He also says his better-known hits are not what he is about, as he sees “people for who they are on the inside.” Lizard uses a wrench and fixes the car.
Lizard said he met the love of his life, an “uptown girl.” He was smitten. They showed a TV with Lizard and his wife and the words, “TMS Pop Culture Gossip” and “Live, Laugh, Lizard” written on it. There was also a lollipop shaped like a heart. However, his wife threatened to leave, but they realized she was pregnant. That changed their lives. There was also a Bobby Brown clue.
The final clue for Lizard was a card that said “Billboards.” Lizard said he had a number-one Billboard hit.
Who Is Lizard On The Masked Singer?
After Lizard finished his The Masked Singer performance, the panelists made their guesses. Ken Jeong thought it was Michael Bivins (Bell Biv DeVoe). Jenny McCarthy thought it was Ricky Bell (also from Bell Biv DeVoe). Jenny also threw out guesses for the other members of New Edition (which Bell Biv DeVoe was in with Bobby Brown), except for Johnny Gill. Robin Thicke thought it was Ray J.
After the Smackdown performance, Jenny and Ken said they knew who it was, but didn’t say who. If it was based only on the voice, we believe it could be Sisqó of Dru Hill. His most popular song was “Thong Song,” which could explain his reference to his songs not being who he is.
However, we might also agree with the Bell Biv DeVoe/New Edition connection. We think this could be Ronnie DeVoe. The tabloid news would fit, as Ronnie’s wife Shamari DeVoe joined the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast in season 11 and Ronnie also appeared on the show. They talked about their open marriage, which almost led to Shamari leaving Ronnie when he got a little too intimate with another woman. However, they ended up pregnant and had twins in 2017.
