‘The Masked Singer’ Who Is Gumball, The Clues & Hints
Four new singers showed up on The Masked Singer this week. One of the new singers went home at the night’s end when fans voted out Savannah Chrisley’s Afghan Hound after the Smackdown round. That final round saw Gumball beat out Afghan Hound to move on in the competition.
Here is what we know about Gumball on The Masked Singer and who we think is under that costume.
Gumball On The Masked Singer
Gumball performed twice on Wizard of Oz night on The Masked Singer. The first song he performed was a medley of two songs. The first was “If I Only Had A Heart” by Jack Haley and “Heartbeat Song” by Kelly Clarkson. Of course, that first song was straight out of The Wizard of Oz movie. The Smackdown saw Gumball and Afghan Hound sing “Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead.”
The clues package also started with a scene from the movie with the Tin Man. Gumball also told Nick Cannon that Tin Man is his favorite character from The Wizard of Oz. “When you met him, he was a little rusty. Maybe just like me,” Gumball admitted. The clue’s package showed a land with giant candy and the Yellow Brick Road from the movie.
The clues included a map of the American South. Gumball said his heart took a beating because his map to the Yellow Brick Road had no directions. He said he wanted to end up on the stage but didn’t know how. He said he did anything to get an audience. Gumball played drums and guitar while also dancing in the package.
“I beatboxed on the street; I performed at theme parks; and even got booed off the stage at a competition for winning,” he said. Gumball said nothing stuck and he watched others succeed. A giant black spider was on a mushroom and Gumball ran away. “But I refused to quit. Because no one was gonna burst my bubble.” He then said he needed timing and some luck.
After his performance, there was one more Gumball clue on The Masked Singer. It was the Tinman’s heart clock. He said deep down, Tin Man always had the heart of a superhero. “I actually might too,” he finished.
Who is Gumball on The Masked Singer?
The Gumball clues led to some interesting guesses by The Masked Singer panelists. Rita Ora said she thought that Gumball was Chace Crawford. Robin Thicke offered up his guess of Kevin Jonas. Finally, Ken Jeong said he believed Gumball might be Jamie Doran, who starred in Fifty Shades of Grey as Rita Ora’s brother.
This is a hard guess. The clues don’t line up with the biggest guesses. Our best guesses based on the voice is either Jeremy Jordan or Skyler Astin, but neither matches up with all the clues. More clue packages should arrive the next time that Gumball appears.
