Amber Johnston and her family seemed likely to run out of content soon. After all, the kids grew up and 7 Little Johnstons fans grew weary of seeing Trent and his wife spice up their intimate life. Therefore, many people felt that the arrival of Leighton Bolden saved the show’s cancellation. And, that leads to the question of drama in the future.

Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Johnston Will Clash With Her Mom?

7 Little Johnstons critics are well aware that Trent and his wife seem overcontrolling with their adult children. For now, it’s all sunshine and sweetness as they enjoy being new grandparents to Leighton. However, in a discussion about the baby’s name, some TLC fans think that Liz will end up not being the mother to her daughter.

On Reddit, some people firmly suspect that Amber Johnston will be so controlling about the child, that Liz Johnston and Brice Bolden will be pushed aside as the main parental figures. For now, Trent and Amber, AKA “Lolli” and “Boppa” seem happy to help out. However, as time goes by will they want full control of their granddaughter?

Control Issues Loom In The Future

The discussion started after an OP wrote on Reddit about the full name of Leighton Drew Bolden. However, commenters changed the direction of the thread, and one of them said:

I wish the[m] a happy life. They need to pack up and move at least an hour away. My grandmother gave me that advice. My mom was an Amber in the beginning. OVERBEARING and to[o] much advice. We moved about 2.5 hours away for work. I was able to be a mom. My parents were able to be amazing grandparents.

Other 7 Little Johnstons fans agreed that Amber Johnston might try and take over as the main parent of Liz Johnston’s baby. Here are a few examples of those comments:

  • I’m sure Amber trying to control her is going to be a major theme in the coming season.
  • The question now is [will] Amber…back off and let Liz be the mother that she wants to be or is she going to be trying to push her to do things the way that she thinks they should be done…
  • She’s going to be trying to insert herself into every…little thing when it comes to that baby. I wonder how long Liz and Bryce will be able to put up with it until they want to snap lol.
  • she’ll be helpful in many ways but I can see her being very overbearing. I’m really hoping they start to focus on the kids more. Amber and Trent get to be too much sometimes. They hover way too much!

What are your thoughts about the prediction that Amber Johnston will probably clash over who should parent Leighton Drew Bolden?
