When Mama June was heavy into her substance abuse issues, she was taking from everyone. She sold the title to her daughter, Jessica Shannon’s car. Then, she proceeded to sell her home because she had nothing left. In the end, she spent a million dollars on drugs and now it appears that she blew her daughter, Alana Thompson’s money, as well. It was all because of Alana and her Honey Boo Boo fame that the family had anything. She was a hit on Toddlers and Tiaras as a cute pageant girl with a personality. Therefore, getting Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was no shocker for the family.
That catapulted all of them to fame and even when the show was canceled due to the people June was hanging out with, they managed to get From Not To Hot. It eventually became Family Crisis and with good reason. According to a Reddit thread, a fan questioned the preview for next week’s episode where June admits she used Alana’s money. They wondered if that was illegal as many child stars have protection against these situations. Apparently, reality stars do not get the same protections as actual actors do.

The Scholarship
Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson was lucky enough to get a 21K scholarship to Regis University. That is why her sister, Pumpkin, and the family have been encouraging her to take advantage of that. They know that Mama June stole all that she could have used for her future. Now, some followers have asked about FAFSA and maybe Alana could have been eligible for this. However, she does look like she makes a lot so that could cause a conflict. In any case, there was sadly no one protecting her so now she has to be grateful she was gifted this amazing scholarship.
