Dean Unglert Reveals Why Kaitlyn Bristowe Blocked Him
Viewers first met Dean Unglert as a contestant on Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette. He went on to join Seasons 4 and 6 of Bachelor In Paradise. It was on BIP Season 6 that he met his future wife, Caelynn Miller-Keyes. (Dean and Caelynn both changed their last name to Bell after their wedding.)
Kaitlyn Bristowe is perhaps one of the most well-known Bachelor Nation alums. It’s not surprising that Dean and Kaitlyn are – or were – friends. They both attended Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist‘s Golden Bachelor wedding.
According to Dean, something went down at the senior wedding that caused Kaitlyn to block him on social media. He broke the drama down on a recent episode of the Suckers podcast, which he hosts with his wife and BN alum Jared Haibon.
First, he described how he found out that Kaitlyn was no longer following him on Instagram. “I think she posted something and tagged me or had me tagged, and I clicked on her profile and I just checked and she wasn’t following me,” he explained. He unfollowed her out of “reciprocity.” But what happened to make her unfollow him?
He hasn’t spoken to Kaitlyn about it, but he thinks it’s because he revealed to his followers that she was out late partying with him and others after the wedding. “[I] woke up the next morning and I looked and it was gone,” he shared about the tagged post.
However, Dean acted unbothered by the situation, noting that he had her muted anyway. “I didn’t want to see any of the stuff that she was posting,” he said. Ouch!
He Has Multiple BN Alums Muted
But maybe Kaitlyn Bristowe shouldn’t feel too badly about being muted. It turns out she’s not the only Bachelor Nation alum that Dean doesn’t want to interact with on social media.
He name-dropped a few other stars from the franchise he has on mute. Nick Viall and his fiance Natalie Joy, along with Jared Haibon’s wife, Ashley, are on the mute list.
Dean Unglert isn’t necessarily feuding with all of these people. He said, “It’s not that I don’t love these people, it’s just sometimes Instagram puts their content before everyone else’s.” He went on to add that he goes on social media to be “inspired,” not to see photos of what people are eating or drinking.
