Bachelor in Paradise couple Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes wed over the weekend in Aspen, Colorado. The couple were both stunning during their wedding weekend and the look in their eyes is relationship goals. They have always done things in their own way so why should getting married and changing their name be any different? Both Dean and Caelynn will be making a legal name change. What is it and why? They finally are hitched and will be taking steps to legally change BOTH of their last names. The couple has talked about the possibility before but now it’s happening. In fact, they even named their wedding weekend after their soon-to-be new last name. What name are they both taking?
Dean and Caelynn have both previously shared that they are not following tradition for their marriage and last names. They will both be changing their last name to Bell. The name belonged to Dean’s mother. It was her maiden name.
it’s been 16 years since i lost my mom. i always thought it’d get easier as time wore on but it hasn’t. something about being an adult just makes me wish she was here even more. every year around this time i get emotional and depressed, i miss her more now than i ever have before. i’m so happy to now have this date as a happy memory as well. from now on i’ll be able to find joy in something this time of year, be excited for the future rather than sad about the past, and celebrate love with the woman who may one day be a mother to children of our own.
Their wedding theme and tribute to his mother
Changing their name to Bell is a nod to Dean’s mom who passed away when he was a teenager. She died from breast cancer. They even had their wedding theme in honor of her and also for Caelynn’s past love of summer camp. The theme was “Camp Bell.”
Plus, they wanted to make their wedding fun for an entire weekend versus one night. So, they had everyone in their own cabin at the venue. It was also important for them to be able to bring their dog Alastor. The venue allowed it and he had plenty of space to run around as well.
Dean and Caelynn did everything in their own way. They kept everything pretty nontraditional and fitted them perfectly.
