Kaitlyn Bristowe Defends ‘Asexual’ Comment
Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick ended their two-year engagement in mid-2023. They began dating in 2019 after meeting on an episode of her Off the Vine podcast in late 2018. Jason was previously a contestant on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette.
The former couple have been pretty quiet about what led to their split, though they have dropped cryptic and shady posts about each other. However, Kaitlyn has started to discuss the split more on her podcast recently.
When Stassi Schroeder was a guest earlier this month, Kaitlyn confessed to thinking she was “asexual” toward the end of her engagement. Kaitlyn’s ex, Nick Viall, took a shot at her for the comment.
The former Bachelorette star welcomed Brandi Cyrus – Miley’s older sister – to Off the Vine. The reality star alluded to her beef with Nick Viall by saying her sexuality is not something to “laugh at.” According to Us Weekly, Kaitlyn added, “I can make fun of my own sexuality, but nobody else can.”
Why She Had ‘No S*x Drive’ With Jason Tartick
During her chat with Brandi Cyrus, Kaitlyn doubled down on her previous comments about feeling asexual. She explained that her lack of s*x drive was the reason why she wondered if she was asexual or not.
However, she admitted there was a “perfect storm” to explain her lack of libido. “I’ve got really wacky hormones, I’m not happy in my relationship, I’m on antidepressants,” Bristowe shared about that difficult time in her life when her engagement was ending.
Questioning her own sexuality also stemmed from her lack of interest in dating anyone else. She recalled briefly wondering if she wanted to date a woman. Kaitlyn previously came out as bisexual, though she doesn’t address it often.
Has her desire to date anyone changed? Bachelor Nation fans think Kaitlyn is quietly dating Tayshia Adams’ ex-fiance Zac Clark. The reality star did deny speculation that she cheated on her former fiance with Zac but hasn’t commented on the dating rumors.
