Lyrics Hint At Cause Of Split?

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick have been open about their hurt over the end of their engagement. However, neither have spoken at length about the specifics.

On October 25, Bristowe took to her Instagram to share an interpretative dance video with her followers. “Put on the captions for a reason,” she wrote alongside the post.

Now, initially, that could be interpreted as the caption to the post. However, it’s more likely she’s referring to the closed-captioned lyrics that overlay the video.

The Dancing With The Stars Season 29 winner showed off her slick moves alongside two other women.  “You should aim to be successful/ But not too successful/ Otherwise you will threaten the man/ Because I am female/ I am expected to aspire to marriage/ I am expected to make my life choices/ Always keeping in mind that/ Marriage is the most important/ Now marriage can be a source of Joy and love and mutual support,” the text on the video read.

It continued, “But why do we teach to aspire to marriage and we don’t teach boys the same? We raise girls to each other as competitors/ Not for jobs or for accomplishments/ Which I think can be a good thing/ But for the attention of men/ We teach girls that they cannot be sexual beings/ In the way that boys are/ Feminist: the person who believes in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes.”

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick were engaged for two years but kept pushing back their wedding for one reason or another. Many fans put the blame on Bristowe’s career aspirations as a reason for the delay.

Do the lyrics indicate that her ex did the same?

Dressed in white shorts and a white blazer over a black sports bra, Bristowe shows off a lot of attitude during the dance.

Toward the end of the video, the captioned lyrics say, “This diamond/flawless/my diamond/flawless/this rock/flawless.”

As these lyrics go across the screen, Kaitlyn Bristowe dances closer to the camera before holding up her left hand, flaunting her engagement ring.

She then pulls the ring off her finger in one move and tosses it at the camera.

Fans Are Confused

Her followers reacted to the video with a mix of emotions. Some encouraged her to “go off” and praised her as a “queen.”

However, others reacted in confusion, noting that she went on reality TV to find a husband. Several comments called the video “cringey.”

But some of her followers expressed outright disagreement with the dance and ring toss. “Oof. You can heal without disrespecting,” one person wrote.

Another said, “Sad for you. You seem a bit lost.”

“Jason is coming out ahead here on the likability chart,” one comment read.
