Bachelor Nation alums Jason Tartick and Kaitlyn Bristowe first met in 2018 when he was a guest on her Off The Vine podcast. She was coming off a breakup with Shawn Booth, and Tartick was still smarting over getting eliminated from Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette.
The two began dating in 2019 and got engaged in 2021. However, their wedding kept getting pushed back, and by early 2023, rumors flew that the couple had broken up.

In August 2023, they finally confirmed the heartbreaking news with a joint Instagram post.
While Tartick and Bristowe never had kids, they had two Golden Retrievers, Pinot and Ramen.
Since their breakup, the reality stars live in separate homes and co-parent the two dogs.

Jason Tartick has been vulnerable with his followers, admitting on his Trading Secrets podcast how difficult the split is. He recently took questions from fans in a Q&A on his Instagram Story.
One fan asked about his background, inquiring if one of his parents was “Jewish/Lebanese.” He said that his father is Lebanese, and his mother is Jewish.
Another fan asked how Tartick is settling into his new home. He said it “doesn’t quite feel like ‘home,’ but it’s getting there.” He promised to give his followers a virtual tour soon.
The Bachelorette alum was also asked if he’s still friends with Kaitlyn Bristowe. He gave a simple thumbs up as a response. It’s interesting to note that neither have wiped their Instagrams clean of the other yet.
Fans Speculate On Why The Couple Broke Up
Jason Tartick’s Q&A landed on /thebachelor subreddit. Neither Tartick or Bristowe have spoken much about the reason for the breakup. However, judging by the comments on the Reddit thread, many put the blame on Kaitlyn Bristowe.
“At the root of it was KB’s decision to go on tour with DWTS (after she won– not her initial time in LA). Jason apparently felt very burdened being the sole care taker of the dogs and the house,” one person claimed as the cause of the split.
“That thumbs up was interesting…kinda feels like it got ugly and things are cooling off,” another speculated.
