Shawn Booth Never Wants To Speak To Kaitlyn Bristowe Again
Shawn Booth has made it a rule to himself to never really talk about his ex-fiancé Kaitlyn Bristowe. The two got engaged on Season 11 of The Bachelorette when Shawn got down on one knee. Kaitlyn and Shawn were together for three years before announcing their split in November 2018. Since Kaitlyn has gotten engaged to Jason Tartrick, who was also on The Bachelorette, and Shawn has a lot to say.
Kaitlyn Moves On
Kaitlyn Bristowe did not take much time to move on from Shawn Booth. Booth states he knew about her new relationship before anyone else did. US Weekly reported that Bristowe accidentally sent a text that was meant for her new man Jason Tartick, to Shawn Booth right after the two split.
Shawn revealed that he actually told Kaitlyn Bristowe that he didn’t want to talk to her or ever see her again the last time he told her. He went on to explain.
“The reason why I had said that, ‘Hey, I don’t want to talk anymore. I don’t want to see you,’ [is] because when we were going through this together, I knew about Jason and Kaitlyn before anybody knew about Jason and Kaitlyn, I’ve known about this before the world knew about it. And I knew about it, because, unfortunately, when I was sending Kaitlyn a text message, she sent me one back that she was supposed to send to Jason.”

Shawn Booth of The Bachelorette can still recall where he was and what he was doing when he got the text, it must have hit him hard.
“I’ll never forget because I was in West Elm. And I was looking for furniture for my apartment because I literally had nothing in my apartment. I told her she could keep the house, I’ll move out, like, whatever. I didn’t want to be there, so I’m just looking for furniture. … It was rough. I mean, and the worst thing was you couldn’t talk about it — I didn’t want to blow up her spot.”
Fans were very unaware of the fact that Shawn knew before they had announced it to the world. Regardless of Booth’s feelings about the situation, he did not let Kaitlyn and Jason’s secret out before they were ready. That shows that he is pretty classy. Kaitlyn had to appreciate that he kept the secret.
Shawn Booth Wanted To Be A Team
When the couple initially split, Shawn wanted to work through the issues they would face together. However, it did not work out the way that he had hoped.
“When [the split] was about to be released to the world, my whole thing was, and I said this … ‘I want to make sure we do this together as a team. … It’s going to be really hard on both of us. We’re gonna have to deal with all different types of opinions and thoughts and people judging us. It’s, like, me and you are the only people that are going through this. Let’s do it as a team,’ and it didn’t work out that way. … We weren’t a team.”
Shawn seems to have taken the lack of support from Kaitlyn hard. It couldn’t have been easy doing this on his own without the support he thought he would have from Kaitlyn.

Viewers do not expect Shawn and Kaitlyn to rekindle anytime soon. Kaitlyn seems happy with her fiancé Jason and Shawn seems to be doing just fine on his own. Fans were just shocked to hear Booth speak about the relationship as he hadn’t before.
