Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans and her husband David Eason are struggling financially. Expenses from their legal troubles are piling up and the couple has yet to resolve an outstanding $46,000 tax bill. Keep reading to see what led to this financial crisis and why Jenelle and David are so bad with money.

David Eason & Jenelle Evans Are Bad With Money

It has been revealed that Jenelle Evans and David Eason are shelling out boatloads of money for a legal team as they continue to go to court over their son, Jace. David is facing felony charges for his alleged attack on the 14-year-old last September. However, that only accounts for a small portion of the couple’s financial struggles.

The U.S. Sun reported that a North Carolina clerk confirmed that the couple has a four-year-old tax lien that has gone unpaid in the amount of $46,000. A source close to the family said the real problem lies with how they spend their money day to day.

“They order take-out all the time to feed four or five mouths when Maryssa is home, they go on pricey trips with – and without – the kids, and they sink money on their always-breaking, expensive toys, like the boat & their ATV,” the source revealed.

On top of that, the family’s income is nearly non-existent. “There is no discernable steady income coming into the house beyond the clickbait Jenelle does, and her OnlyFans account, which she keeps up with sporadically at best,” the person shared with The U.S. Sun.

Luckily for Jenelle Evans, some of the couple’s legal troubles are over. After months of fighting the Child Protective Custody case, it is finally closed. The Teen Mom star won’t lose custody of the younger children. The outcome of this case is separate from the case involving Jace though. It is also separate from David’s felony charges for the alleged attack. So, their legal expenses are far from being over at this time.

More Court Costs On The Horizon For The Teen Mom Star

Court papers revealed that David is facing a misdemeanor child abuse charge and a felony assault by strangulation charge. His case was heard by a grand jury in January. They found that there was sufficient evidence to have his case heard in the superior court, where felony hearings are held.

Documents state Jenelle Evans’ husband willingly harmed his stepson, which led to marks on his arm and neck. The court filing states, “The physical injury inflicted caused marks on their right arm and left and right side of the neck, and was inflicted by other than accidental means.”

According to Jenelle’s son Jace, the incident occurred the night before he ran away. It was caught on a nearby neighbor’s Ring doorbell camera. CPS took custody of the 14-year-old after the attack was reported.
