Anna Cardwell’s husband, Eldridge Toney, has gotten a memorial tattoo of his late wife. She passed away at the beginning of December 2023. Since then, a lot has transpired within the family. It was a tragic day when the family confirmed that Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell had passed away. She had been battling stage 4 adrenal carcinoma for nearly a year. After undergoing several treatments, it seemed her body just gave up. Her mother, Mama June Shannon, had shared that Anna’a cancer was terminal but it was not until very early December that things shifted. The family gathered for a final trip on Anna’s behalf. Within days of returning, the sisters and her Aunt Doe Doe had taken to social media to ask for prayers. Then, she was gone.
She left behind two daughters, Kylee and Kaitlyn but also a husband, Eldridge Toney. This was surprising as the two had been together for several years but never tied the knot. She had been married to Michael Cardwell with whom she had Kylee but they divorced in 2017 around the time she met Eldridge. It appeared they got married shortly after her diagnosis which will all play out in the new season of Family Crisis. When it came to her obituary and memorial, Anna’s last name was listed as “Toney” rather than “Cardwell.”
Now, Eldridge has made his love for Anna Cardwell even more permanent than ever. He showcased a new memorial tattoo in honor of his late wife on his Instagram. It reads: “Together forever, never apart.” Then, it is separated by roses and a heart-shaped pocket watch with thorns wrapped around it. Inside, it reads Anna’s name as well as their wedding date. Then, below that, it concluded: “Maybe in distance but never in Heart.” Eldridge made sure to shout out the artist as well.
True Love Always Prevails
It has not been easy for anyone in the family to say goodbye to Anna Cardwell. However, they have been attacked for using Anna’s passing for profit. Furthermore, Mama June currently has custody of Anna’s eldest daughter, Kaitlyn. Many feel she is using and exploiting her for personal gain. June will go head to head with Anna’s ex-husband, Michael Cardwell who believes that he is best suited to raise Kaitlyn. Currently, he is raising Kylee, his only child with Anna so it makes sense to keep the sisters together.
As for Eldridge Toney, he has not said much. He will be seen on Family Crisis as he is there for Anna and the two tie the knot.
