Harry Connick Jr. Suffers Devastating Death
Fans know that Harry Connick Jr. is all about his music which he has a new forthcoming album. He is also well-known as a former American Idol judge, his own talk show, and for a role on Will and Grace. At the same time, he is a diehard New Orleans Saints fan and makes sure to attend as many games as he can. His father, Harry Connick Sr. was also the NOLA District Attorney for a three-decade reign. Sadly, he has passed away. Harry Sr. died at the age of 97 on Thursday, January 25th, according to TMZ.
He was in the comfort of his NOLA home surrounded by those who loved him. This included wife Londa and their two children, Harry, and Suzanna. As of now, no one has shared what caused his passing or if he had previously been sick. He took office as the DA thirty-one years ago in 1973 and went on to win reelection four times. Harry Sr. was beloved by so many New Orleanians, bringing those of all races together. He did face a few scandals, one where he allegedly hid evidence.

There was a death row case where it appeared he had withheld particular evidence that would have proven this inmate’s innocence. The inmate filed a lawsuit, won 14 million but it was eventually overturned. Though Harry Sr. could have spoken out sooner, he kept to himself. However, in 2012, he did speak his side to the Times-Picayune, the main New Orleans newspaper. Upon hearing the news of his death, he was immediately honored. NOLA Saints owner, Gayle Benson said this:
“My sincerest condolences to Harry Connick Sr.’s family and friends on his passing. He was such a genuine friend and supporter. His impact and legacy in New Orleans will live on and be deeply missed.” 🙏

That’s a terrible and misleading headline. I feel for the Connick family, but my heart sank thinking it was Connick Jr., the mom’ent that I opened my phone.
