Mama June’s family is in mourning after losing their beloved Anna Cardwell this week. The family took to social media to confirm her passing and to thank followers for their ongoing prayers and well-wishes.
Anna passed away on December 9, 2023, after battling stage four adrenal carcinoma. But the day before Anna died, several family members posted cryptic messages indicating the end was near.

Mama June breaks down as she opens up about Anna’s death
Without a doubt, June Shannon and her family members are going through one of the most difficult times of their lives. They’re dealing with the aftermath of Anna’s passing. Her absence will definitely leave a void in their lives.
But even through the grief, Mama June is being as transparent as she possibly can with her followers.
“@annamariecardwe39 is no longer with us. She passed away peacefully December 9 at 11:12 PM,” June Shannon captioned the TikTok. The reality star continued to share the details of Anna’s passing.
“She died peacefully in my home with her sisters, with myself, with Justin, Eldridge, and her children, and other family members,” the reality star said in the video. “She loved everyone of y’all and she would not have it any other way for me to come on social media and let y’all know that that b**** gave one hell of a g*dd*mn fight for 10 f***ing months.”
Mama June went on to say that in a way, she feels like Anna won her battle because she isn’t suffering any longer. The reality star said she would keep fans updated about funeral plans and arrangements. But by the end of the video, she had completely broken down in tears.
