Aunt Doe Doe Breaks Silence On Niece Anna Cardwell’s Passing
June Shannon’s family tragically announced that Anna Cardwell had passed away after her battle with stage four adrenal carcinoma. According to the family, the 29-year-old mother of two passed away around 11 PM on December 9, 2023.
Multiple members of the family have issued statements today, including Anna’s youngest sister, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson. Mama June and the rest of the family are beside themselves with grief at the moment.
June’s sister, affectionately referred to as “Aunt Doe Doe,” also shared a social media update with fans. What exactly did she have to say about her niece’s tragic passing?
Aunt Doe Doe speaks up after Anna Cardwell’s passing
As the family processes Anna Cardwell’s death, they’re dealing with the pain in different ways. This week, June Shannon seemed particularly angry and hurt. She blasted social media trolls and warned them they would “rot in hell” for harassing her family during this difficult time.
June’s sister Aunt Doe Doe took a much gentler approach. She recently shared an Instagram post confirming Anna’s passing and asked for love and prayers from fans.
“It is with a heavy heart that we as a family have to announce the passing of Anna Marie Cardwell,” Doe Doe shared on Instagram with her followers. “She passed last night with family surrounding her and she had a loving peaceful transition. Heaven gained an angel and she was [greeted] by all of her loved ones who had passed before her.”
“Please keep her husband, children and the rest of the family in your prayers as we go through these next several days. She loved the fans and all the love that you have shown during this difficult process. #CANCERSUCKS” Aunt Doe Doe concluded the post.
