Mama June’s Family Asks For Prayers Amid Anna’s Final Trip
Anna Cardwell was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma. Immediately, her family rallied around her and her two young children to make them feel safe and less alone. She had no idea what the future held but her mother, Mama June made the decision to move closer to Anna. June had been residing in Alabama with her husband, Justin Stroud but saw the sense of urgency. More so, June has been keeping fans up to date with how Anna has been doing especially when the cancer turned terminal. It was a situation where they had to start prepping her kids for what could happen. Plus, Anna wanted to leave a legacy behind.
Recently, she finished her final radiation treatment which should have brought some optimism. However, not too long after, it was revealed that the family was taking off on a special vacation. It was something that was solely for Anna, according to Kiro7. Anna’s younger sister, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird shared everyone was gathering for Anna’s “last family trip.” She let her followers know this on her new page, The Sisters Closet, which she owns with Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson.
Efird further explained: “Sadly, it’s gotten worse over the last couple of months and her wish is to go to Gatlinburg with all of us. We are making this happen and making the best out of this.” The only person not in attendance was Alana as she is in college and had obligations. Now, Mama June’s sister, Doe Doe, has taken to her own Facebook to ask for prayers. On Friday, December 8th, she wrote: “Need prayer warriors for our family.” She added wounded and broken heart emojis as well as a crying one. Presumably, this has to do with Anna.
Wait, Doe Doe?
In the last season of Mama June: Family Crisis, Doe Doe was there for the family events along with Anna Cardwell. Yet, after Anna was diagnosed with cancer, June alleged that her sister virtually disappeared from the family. Back in May 2023, June claimed that Doe Doe does not keep in touch and vice versa. However, she received a plethora of prayers and well-wishes, especially for Anna Cardwell. Hopefully, the family has finally fully reconnected and Anna is living every day the best that she can.
*Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird also ended up asking for prayers on her work Facebook page so it seems that this is something quite serious. We hope that if this is about Anna, she pulls through as she is a very strong woman.*
