Alana Thompson Wants To Film College Experience On Show?
Per a recent report from Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson was accepted to attend a university in Denver called Regis. She received a $21,000 scholarship to help fund the cost of her schooling. With this acceptance, it has also been reported that Honey Boo Boo is open to continuing to film reality TV while she attends college. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Alana Thompson shared plans to study neonatal nursing.
On Reddit, fans shared Ashley’s article on the subject and were pretty quick to discuss whether Alana filming while she went to school was remotely a good idea. Unfortunately for Honey Boo Boo, fans of Mama June Shannon’s family did NOT agree that it was a good idea. Most fans noted the only way Alana was going to do well in college was if she focused on her education. And, they feared she couldn’t do that properly with cameras in her face. Fans Took Issue With Her Choice In School Too
Fans of Honey Boo Boo and her family believed Alana was setting herself up for failure going to this particular school as she would be in for a culture shock. Moreover, fans noted the cost of living is also higher there and she isn’t going to be prepared for that. Fans also ripped Pumpkin for claiming the school was a “top school for nursing” when that simply wasn’t the case.
There were some fans defending Honey Boo Boo noting it was disgusting that so many fans only had negative things to say about her going off to college. There were even a few fans who pointed out that the show may have been part of why she made it through school and filming in college could be a good idea.
