‘DWTS’ Fans Uncover Maks & Val Chmerkovskiy Throwback Pics
It appears that the genes in the Chmerkovskiy family run strong.
An old photo of Maks and Val Chmerkovskiy recently resurfaced online and fans couldn’t help but notice something. Their sons look nearly identical to their throwback photo.

Maks & Val Chmerkovskiy’s childhood photo appears on Reddit
Lately, Dancing With The Stars fans have been going wild for old throwback photos. After an old photo of Sharna Burgess and Peta Murgatroyd resurfaced online, Redditors started digging for other photos.
Now, fans have found some old photos of the Chmerkovskiy brothers.
Maks and his wife Peta have two sons, Shai and Rio, while Val and his wife Jenna have one son, Rome. According to DWTS fans, the family resemblance is uncanny.
“Ok so I was inspired by the previous post of the pros to look for more younger pictures of the pros (googled it lol) & I came across these two of Maks & Val. You can’t tell me that’s not Shai & Rome!!! (Rome definitely has Jenna’s eyes though)” a Redditor shared on the platform this week.
Fans went wild for the photos of the Chmerkovskiy brothers and couldn’t believe how much their sons resembled them. Maks’ son Shai is seven years old while his youngest Rio will be a year old this June. Val’s son Rome just celebrated his first birthday this month.
In the throwback photo, Maks and Val couldn’t be much older than their own boys.

Fans are eager to keep up with the dance family
Overall, Dancing With The Stars fans really seem to enjoy all the old photos of the pro dancers. Anyone’s old photos could circle online next.
DWTS won’t be back on television until this fall, but there are still plenty of chances to keep up with the Chmerkovskiy brothers in the meantime. For example, Maks Chmerkovskiy joined the cast of So You Think You Can Dance as a judge this season. Meanwhile, Val and Jenna are performing at select shows on this year’s DWTS tour.
