Maks & Val Chmerkovskiy Share Precious Moment With Sons
This year is turning out to hold many blessings for brothers Maks and Val Chmerkovskiy. The Ukrainian dancers both have quite a lot to celebrate — and it’s still only February.
Val and his wife Jenna Johnson had a baby boy named Rome on January 10. Shortly after, Maks and his wife Peta Murgatroyd revealed they were expecting their second child after experiencing several miscarriages and a failed IVF treatment.
Right now, everything is turning up for the family. They recently posted a sweet family photo to celebrate.

Just a year ago, the Chmerkovskiy family was on edge as Maks found himself trapped in Ukraine as the Russians invaded. Thankfully, he managed to make it back safely to the United States. Now, the family is rebuilding and looking forward to their bright future together.
Val Chmerkovskiy is excited to be a first-time father while Maks eagerly awaits the birth of his second child this summer.
And of course, the family is spending a lot of time with one another and sharing the love.
Jenna Johnson posted several photos on Instagram this week sharing some of the adventures they’ve had together as a family. She dubbed the first photo “The Chmerkovskiy boys” and it was truly too precious. Fans went wild for the photo of Maks and Val proudly posing behind their sons. Maks’ 6-year-old Shai is holding baby Rome on his lap.
“LOVE all the pics! And Jenna, you realize that the Chmerkovskiy men are going to be a powerful force …..and always for good!!! ❤❤❤” one fan wrote in the comments.
“Yes!!! Bring on all the Rome pictures 💙💙 so excited and happy for you both!!!” another fan added.

Other DWTS couples are getting baby fever from the family
There’s a pretty big baby boom going on in the DWTS world right now. Jenna gave birth in January and Peta is due in June — but three other professional dancers are also pregnant right now. And there may be more baby news to share before long.
Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert are planning their wedding at the moment. But they revealed that they got a touch of the baby fever after meeting Jenna and Val’s baby for the first time.
“There wasn’t a rush on [thinking about kids] until we just met Val and Jenna Chmerkovskiy’s baby, and that was when it was kinda like, ‘Should we get on this now?” Hayley told Entertainment Tonight.
“It was pretty special, and actually it was cool ’cause Val, he was like, ‘Bro, for somebody who creates, this will be your ultimate creation,’” Derek continued.
