‘DWTS’ Val Chmerkovskiy Hints At Possible Season 33 Return?
Val Chmerkovskiy and Xochitl Gomez are completely over the moon right now. The pair went on to dominate Dancing With The Stars Season 32 and take home the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
Now that Val has ended his season on a high note, some have expressed concern that he’s preparing to hang up his ballroom shoes. And a cryptic Instagram post hasn’t helped matters.
But it seems like there might be some hope for Val’s dedicated fans. In post-season interviews, he gave clues about his future on the show. See what he had to say.
Will Val Chmerkovskiy be back for another season?
Just before the Season 32 semifinals, Val Chmerkovskiy shared a seemingly cryptic Instagram post leading many fans to believe he was saying goodbye to DWTS.
“This has easily been one of my favorite seasons on DWTS, and I’ve been a part of many,” the 37-year-old captioned the Instagram post. “I’ll keep it brief because we still got a show tomorrow. It’s been a real honor to be given such a powerful talent to guide. Xochitl is a force, and I’m looking forward to seeing her shine for many many years to come. Imma say I taught her some ballroom 🙂 Love you, proud of you. Tomorrow will be epic! 🌹”
Many fans flocked to the comments section, worried that he wouldn’t be back for another year. Fortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case at all.
After winning DWTS Season 32 alongside Xochitl Gomez, Val is invigorated and ready to return next year.
“I would [return next season]. Listen, if they had me back, I’d love to be back. It’s going to be a tough season to follow,” Val told Us Weekly shortly after winning the Mirrorball Trophy.
After having a phenomenal partner like Xochitl, it would indeed be difficult to have an even better season than this one. However, his fans are delighted to know that Val Chmerkovskiy has no intentions of saying goodbye anytime soon.
The Season 32 champions are excited to continue their friendship
On top of winning the Mirrorball Trophy, Val and Xochitl are happy to continue their friendship outside the ballroom.
“It feels great. This one feels a little different. It’s been seven years since I was able to be lucky enough to win and to win it with this young lady,” Val told Us Weekly. “Man, she carried us all season. She made me look great as a teacher [and] as a partner.”
“That goes both ways. You can’t really know how to really do any of this unless you have someone who really understands you. So you really understood me and you did all the dances that had my personality in it. And I think that’s what’s important,” Xochitl echoed her dance partner’s sentiments.
Are you happy to know that Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy plan on continuing their friendship? Are you excited they won the competition? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
