Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell passed away from stage 4 adrenal carcinoma, and her mom, Mama June star June Shannon, shared the sad news on social media. Now the thoughts of WeTV fans turn to Anna’s two children, Kaitlyn, 11, and her little half-sister, Kylee, 8. Who will raise them?
Anna Cardwell Got Married, Will Eldridge Toney Raise The Kids?
Although June’s daughter lived with Eldridge Toney for years, the news arrived that they only tied the knot in March this year. Naturally, fans hope that because he’s close to the kids, he might take over their custody. Of course, with Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and her mother’s custody issues, WeTV viewers hope that June Shannon doesn’t get to raise Chikadee’s children.
Fans heard an alarming report that Anna Cardwell’s children might be split up. TMZ reported that Kaitlyn, the older child might go and live with the reality TV star. In the opinion of Mama June fans, hopefully, that won’t happen because June didn’t do the best job raising Honey Boo Boo. In fact, her sister, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efiord got custody of her little sister a few years ago.

WeTV fans feel so bad for the children because their mom passed away on Kylee’s eighth birthday. On Reddit, an OP wondered if Eldridge Toney might raise the kids. However, he’s not the dad of either child. He and his wife did try for children, and it was one of her greatest regrets that she couldn’t have one.

While that seems sad for Eldridge Toney, it seems unlikely that he will have anything to do with raising Kylee and Kaitlyn.
