Derek Hough Shares Update After Wife’s Brain Surgery
Just a day after revealing that his wife needed an emergency brain surgery, Derek Hough is sharing an update on her condition.
According to the Dancing With The Stars judge, his wife Hayley became disoriented and dizzy after their performance on December 6 in Washington, D.C. After heading to the hospital, her medical team discovered that she had a “cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel.” Emergency surgery immediately followed.
The family’s friends, fans, and colleagues have all been standing by and waiting for news on Hayley Erbert. Thankfully, Derek just posted an update to share with everyone.

Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert have always been a popular couple with Dancing With The Stars fans. Viewers really enjoy watching their online antics and learning more about their life as a couple.
Fans were heartbroken to learn that Hayley needed emergency surgery. But the good news is that she’s resting and recovering.
“Hayley has always inspired me with her will, her strength, and her resilience and more so than in the last 48 hrs. She is now on the long road of recovery,” Derek updated his fans on Instagram. “Words cannot express how grateful and thankful we are for the support and love that you have given us. The kindness that we’ve been shown in this incredibly unfathomable, and life changing time is immeasurable. The offers of assistance that have poured in have been so humbling and appreciated. Our hope is that as a family, we can somehow and someway pay it forward.”

The DWTS judge postpones the remainder of his tour
Hayley Erbert was a very important part of Derek’s ongoing Symphony of Dance Tour. The tour has been going on since the start of fall and has visited many cities across the United States.
As per an update on the official website, it appears that the remaining dates in the tour have all been canceled for now. It looks as if the tour dates could be rescheduled sometime in the future, but for now Derek wants to devote all his time and energy to Hayley and helping her recover.
