As most know, Friends star Matthew Perry has died at the age of 54. Sadly, he was found on Saturday. The world is a little more grim without his presence and Friends fans are deeply saddened by his early, unexpected death. Many statements of love and care have been made by his closest friends and family, but many are still processing the untimely passing.

Matthew Perry starred alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer on the ever-popular sitcom Friends for a decade. Famously, it was chocked full of celebrity guests and bonus characters throughout its on-air stint. Unquestionably, there has been an overflow of love for Matthew Perry and his memory during this difficult time. While there has been an outpouring, there are many still finding their words amid this shocking event.

Matthew Perry’s Cause Of Death
While Matthew Perry’s autopsy is complete, the status of his cause of death is currently deferred. Once the report of the toxicology is processed, which may take weeks, more details may be available. “Although no one wants to believe it was medication — prescribed or not — of course that is a thought in their minds,” an insider claims. “They are thinking he must have taken something that did not mix with the warm water.”
Reportedly, Matthew was found unresponsive in his jacuzzi on Saturday, October 28. At the time, EMTs believed they were responding to a “water rescue” but sadly that was not the case. While no illegal drugs were present at the scene, an insider gave details that authorities found anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs, and a COPD drug in the house.
An observant fan talking about Matthew Perry’s autobiography, writes on Instagram, “His last chapter is called Batman and he is reflecting on his life in an interesting kind of way.” Tying this to a looming warning, when Matthew referred to “Mattman” in his final post.
Friends And Family Mourn Matthew Perry’s Death
“The cast is reeling from the loss of their brother because that’s what Matty was – their brother. It’s just devastating,” according to PageSix. Admittedly, Friends showrunners Marta Kauffman, David Crane, and Kevin Bright are “deeply saddened.” Respondendly, they issued a joint statement, which reads, “We will always cherish the joy, the light, the blinding intelligence he brought to every moment – not just to his work, but in life as well. We send all of our love to his family and friends. This truly is The One Where Our Hearts Are Broken.”
One of the well-known cast members of the comedy show, Maggie Wheeler, aka, Janice left a heartfelt message. As part of her grieving, she shared a picture of Janice and Chandler on Instagram. Captioning, “What a loss. The world will miss you, Matthew Perry. The joy you brought to so many in your too-short lifetime will live on. I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared.”
Lisa Kudrow Plans To Adopt Alfred
According to a source at Daily Mail, Lisa Kudrow is “baffled,” by his death. With love, she is considering taking in his dearly cared-for companion and dog, Alfred. “Lisa and [the] cast will all be attending his services,” per the outlet. “This does not seem real or fair to her or any of the gang, because Matthew was finally at peace with himself and was having the best year of his life since his book launch almost exactly one year ago. He was enjoying life,” it continues.

So sad to lose such an amazing young man, I loved watching “Friends”. Chandler was just one of those people that made you laugh on the show. I really think Matthew Perry was just like Chandler. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and all his friends, actors and actresses. I know they are all suffering right now. But just know he’s at peace and he’ll be with all you for the rest of your lives. Lisa taking his dog is just so amazing and shows what a big heart she has.
