Kody Brown’s Most Haunting Words In ‘Sister Wives’ History

Kody Brown, Sister Wives

Recently, Sister Wives fans realized after watching past episodes that some of Kody Brown’s words and actions must haunt him terribly after the loss of Garrison Brown. In particular, they find one phrase that tops them all.

Kody Brown’s Haunting Words

Although Kody Brown has years of documentation of things he said while “in the moment” or flippantly, now some of those things will forever haunt him. On Reddit, Sister Wives fans point out a harsh realization about Kody and some of his previous statements. First, someone starts a thread quoting Kody’s torturous words, “S18,E4 ‘There will be other Christmases…’” Then they reflect on the horrible impact it has on them after hearing those words again. As they rewatch the episode, they discuss how easily it is to take things for granted, believing there is an endless amount of time to resolve issues later. Undoubtedly, it is hard to stomach that Garrison Brown is gone and there is no time to fix the rift between him and Kody.

Time Is Precious

The user reminds other viewers just how heartbreaking it is hearing Kody Brown’s words in retrospect.  Furthermore, they discuss how it was unknowingly one of Garrison Brown‘s last Christmases. Kody was tired of trying to work things out at the time with Garrison and Gabriel Brown. Sadly, it was also making things more challenging with Janelle Brown. But at the time, they didn’t know what they know now, that Garrison would only be with them a few more years. Additionally, the user says, “He knows he needs to do something to bring his family back together but he’s just not ready, and that there will be ‘other Christmases’, i.e. more chances to make up with his kids.” Undeniably, people often make this mistake believing there is ample time to address things “later.”

But the Redditor reminds others, “Life is so short and so precious. It’s things like this that are the toughest to think about in retrospect. You think you have all the time in the world until you don’t. My heart broke for his kids all over again in this moment. Shame on Kody.”

Other Fans Discuss Kody Brown’s Words And Actions

After the main post, several other Sister Wives fans give their thoughts on Kody Brown’s haunting words and actions.

  • “There are always more Christmases, more Thanksgivings and birthdays, more chances, until there aren’t anymore. And if you cut someone out of your life- as Kody had done with most of his children- you have to be willing to accept that all your chances might disappear. It wasn’t that Janelle and Christine weren’t loyal. It was that Kody was asking them to do the one thing he knew they’d never do- choose him over their children.”
  • “Wow that’s powerful.”
  • “Agreed! You never know when the last time is the last time. 😪.”

  1. Cody is a self centered idiot, he will have to live with himself. He is never going to learn,

    1. How anyone could “fall for” Kody needs serious counseling… such a narcissistic douche bag creep

  2. I watched this series and Kody being the “ head of household “ should have said let’s see what we need to do to remedy all this. What can i do to be a better father to everyone of you. How can we work this out. And because it was about being one “ big” family he should have done that. Not put one particular person before those kids. They were the most important factor in this whole thing. Kody was unhinged! He was definitely wrong for “a lot”. Of things. Narcissistic behavior for sure!!
